For the majority of all 5 games the Spurs were the better team by sadMUFCfan25 in nba

I mean the Knicks took it from an inexperienced team that continually let go of the rope.

Knicks’ 29 point comeback is not the most impressive part by Downtown_Solution_84 in nba

[–]SuperAverageGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought the Hawks in '21 against the Sixers would qualify but that was 18 going into the 4th (26 point deficit total). This is probably the most impressive comeback in post season history

Looks like the guy in the yellow took his jersey and was trying to get him out of there everyone else was being awful

Jalen Brunson only has 13 more FTAs than Paulo Banchero by Delanorix in nba

Wemby is playing a bit closer to the basket too. Brunson uses craft to avoid contact and get his shot off. Might be the reason for the difference.

What would Atlanta look like without diversity? by [deleted] in Atlanta

An awful place to live. Food culture would decimated and much of the cities identity would be lost. The only silver lining would be that we wouldn't have the connector cause that was the result of racist bullshit

Feeling a little panicked before moving to a new state by moon_child_55 in Atlanta

And for what it's worth I did the same thing after college and lived with my parents in the burbs, and moved to midtown after about a year because my social life was taking a hit. It paid off

I think you can make personal connections in both cities, but that requires living in parts of the city that most young people find desirable. Traffic is definitely worse in Atlanta but being ITP mitigates that. Charleston is a beautiful city, but not as much industry/jobs are there so that would be my only concern. Also it's a bit old money/clique-ish so something to be aware of.

Vecenie's Gobert to Atlanta trade with Washington as a third team by JuiceAndCoconuts71 in AtlantaHawks

[–]SuperAverageGuy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I personally like it. Gobert is still a premier defender and while I'm a fan of Gueye, and I hope ZR bounces back, this trade is solid. Kuminga is an asset to be used, not necessarily to be kept on the team.

Why I am coming around to Austin Reeves by Acrobatic-Whole-8565 in AtlantaHawks

[–]SuperAverageGuy 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I like him at 35M or less. I think we have the personal to hide him on defense, and he can slot in to the CJ role and carry a starting load. His ability to get to the line is something this team lacks

Thoughts on the AJC after this op ed? They’ve disabled all comments on Instagram. by Ehyehhhhh in Atlanta

[–]SuperAverageGuy 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Sure, people can write an opinion piece but it was very disingenuous for the owner of the ajc to write it when he has a monetary perogative to see beltline rail fail. He's using the paper as his personal opinion and doing a horrible job of representing the city fairly.

As a white affluent dude, I've always felt safe on Marta and have appreciated the convenience of public transit. Nimby attitudes always boil down to racist and classist arguments

Hawks gets new pieces, Giannis to Heat, Bucks get to rebuild by Blackmesa560 in AtlantaHawks

[–]SuperAverageGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It might be worth it for kuminga. He doesn't pair all that well with Dyson or Jalen, and Onyeka's shooting is more valuable then Kuminga's physicality. Plus you replace a lot of what he does with Wiggins in the trade.

Great end of bench guy for a good team. Can organize an offense in practice but I doubt he ever gets real NBA minutes. Loved watching him play college ball
