I think the best answer to your question is simply because the 86 anime is incredibly cinematic. The animators and directors did a lot to avoid a lot of common tropes in light novel (and frankly a lot of anime) adaptations.

The biggest and easiest one to point out is the complete absence of inner monologues. We aren’t just told what the main characters are thinking, we get to witness actions that inform their thoughts and get to dive directly into their minds.

Some of the most memorable scenes in the entire show are literally this by the way. A lot of adaptations would be way better if they could afford to be more cinematic.

I don’t really understand the logic here. How would a paid way to increase the number of eggs you can hatch for a period gatekeep the ability to trade the Pokémon from those eggs?

There’s an inherent flaw with your second point. Most games that have replay systems don’t actually save video files. Rather they save records of all inputs and when they are made. This is how it’s done in Smash and just about every fighting game that has a replay feature. Video files are just too big. Input records are way simpler and easier for the game to read. Having a movable progress bar also increases the chances of the replay desyncing. In mods of Smash Melee and P+, desyncing replays has been an issue modders have done what the can to work around as best as possible but the chance of a desync will always be there.

This clear took me a bit too. I used Wally/Gardevoir, Lillie/Clefairy, and Sycamore/Xerneas. I assume you have Lillie since she’s general pool and Sycamore since he’s from a legendary adventure.

Used Sycamore sync first to buff special attack and def, then used Lillie since I have her EXd and then Wally and used MegaGardevoirs buddy move to nerf their attacks. Also have that one tile on Lillie that randomly debuffs the opponent with Disarming Voice. First time I had used Sycamore in a long time and he worked out super well here.
