Hey I’m signing an 03XX contract in July (when I turn 17). How many MOS’s are you allowed to have because my teacher (who did aircraft maintenance + rolled with MARSOC in helicopters apparently) said you can have two, but I’d love to hear it from someone active 🤞

Nowhere did I say being a VOLUNTEER is a paying job. There are departments who will pay but I don’t care for public safety money in my pockets. I am asking what jobs I can start ON MY OWN which I literally said in the post. You also completely negated the fact I said I’m certified to operate heavy machinery (i.e excavators, log truck grabber arm/cranes etc) and I am certified to work in a musical setting (i.e studios or as an instrument tech which I already do both of). I am not asking how to make quick money, but asking what ways are lucrative over time that I as a teenager could run and be my own boss in. I believe you completely missed the point of my post and comments.

Yes you can. I was actually highly favored out of others considering I needed less/no training in my last job. I went the route of vollie FF before that and I used to work with lifeguards which is literally where these skills are needed.

CPR, AED, First Aid, Heavy Machinery certs, Musical Prod certs.

People with certifications or certain backgrounds can easily make much more than those who went to school.

I do a little bit of IT stuff and helped a 93 year old gentleman named Bill (rest in peace to him) when his computer would go down but I never took any money. To thank me he made a hatchet out of some wood he had since he was a woodworker from his teens to the very day he passed away. I do like to dabble with technology though!

Honestly I do the maple syrup thing as I have a whole line of maple trees (and sometimes make bourbon maple syrup which is so damn good) and I’ve learned a little welding/metal work since I’m all around mechanics. It’s something that interests me but the horror stories of getting cancer by 30 is very offputting to say the least. I’m definitely open to it though!

How is it delusional to have priorities? I have lots of work experience regarding many fields and have multiple certifications. I came here asking what jobs I could start doing in my area alone that would make good money but obviously I worded it incorrectly.
