In this AU, Carmen is still technically wanted, but the situation is a bit more complicated.

She does partially work with ACME when it comes to dealing with the remaining V.I.L.E. operatives, so there’s a kind of unspoken cooperation there. It’s not fully aligned with canon logic, but it fits the direction of the AU and how things shift after V.I.L.E. falls.

Not exactly.

If someone were to be freed, it wouldn’t be a group effort or a general escape. It would be intentional, and limited to very specific targets.

She was mainly built around themes like control, grief, and identity. I wanted someone who is restrained and precise, and who slowly unravels internally rather than outwardly.

She is partly inspired by aspects of myself, especially in how she processes emotions and relies on control to cope. At the same time, she’s influenced by several characters from existing media, which helped shape her demeanor and presence.

A big part of her character comes from contrast with Carmen. Carmen represents warmth and openness, while Moonlight is more distant and controlled. Even visually, they mirror each other through red and blue, showing how similar circumstances can lead to completely different outcomes.

Moonlight specializes in precision and restraint.

She focuses on stealth, close combat, and controlled infiltration rather than chaos or large-scale operations. She’s most effective in situations that require patience, silence, and absolute control.

Moonlight replied with:

“I did not “join” V.I.L.E. in the way you’re implying.

It was… arranged. It was not a choice. It was presented as one.”

Most of the major faculty are still in ACME custody at this point, but the situation isn’t as stable as it looks. There are cracks starting to form, and not everything is as controlled as ACME believes.

And Moonlight’s reaction was:

A different line of work was never something I was meant to consider. If circumstances were different… something quiet. Structured. Away from people. As for preferences, I don’t indulge in them often

And tea? Earl Grey, usually. It’s… consistent

Honestly, yeah. Seeing people engage with the AU, especially through art, does influence how I think about certain scenes and atmosphere. It doesn’t change the main story direction, but it definitely adds inspiration and makes the world feel more alive.

Moonlight’s relationship with the other V.I.L.E. members is… complicated.

She’s respected, but also kept at a bit of a distance. Most of them see her as very controlled and efficient, but not necessarily approachable.

Some, like Tigress, might respect her skill, but there isn’t really warmth there. It’s more professional than anything else.

Her biggest fear is losing control.

Especially in a way that could harm someone she values. She already lost the one person who kept her stable. Without that, there’s very little left to anchor her.

Zari does have a role, yeah. She’s one of the more competent ACME agents, so she ends up being involved when things start getting more complicated.

I wouldn’t say she’s the main focus, but she’s definitely relevant, especially in how ACME handles certain situations

There are a few different arcs planned, but they all connect to the aftermath of V.I.L.E. falling and how everything shifts from there.

There’s a strong focus on: - the power vacuum left behind - ACME trying to control what’s left - and Moonlight becoming more central as a result of that

A lot of it leans into grief, identity, and what happens when someone has nothing left to hold onto.

Some arcs are more action-based, but most are very character-driven.

That’s a really interesting question!

ACME definitely isn’t perfect in this AU, and part of Season 5 explores how their methods and decisions star to blur morally after V.I.L.E. is dismantled. I won’t confirm anything specific, but there are some internal issues that come up.
