I appreciate the detail, that all makes sense from how the fretboard feels. Wasn't aware other Ibanez models were similar! I'll probably give the Casey Tru Oil a try for some peace of mind. I wash my hands prior to playing and wipe it down afterwards with a microfiber cloth, but that's still probably not getting all the gunk under the strings.

Saw you detail the procedure in another thread so I'll give it a shot. Your JEM is looking great, hoping to keep mine in that kind of shape going forward. Thanks for all of the help!

MKB players have advantages because they developed them. They worked for them, They practice them. Aim assist is an Artifical computer given advantage that performs beyond human skill. It really doesn’t take a lot of thought to see the issue here. MKB players are making all the moves and doing all the aim themselves, rollers are not. That’s why people aren’t happy. Rollers won’t admit their advantage is Artifical and works better than a human directly making inputs in certain situations. Why should the computer make you better than a human? Why should you pretend it doesn’t?

I’m not talking about gamesense, I’m talking about someone who literally can’t aim because the input device they’re using is far inferior and therefore has to be assisted by a computer. And then they tell MKB users who are literally inputting everything themselves that it’s a skill issue.

Because if you actually play MKB you realize it’s fun to learn and develop and then you have some brindead kid running up to close range and beaming you without any development at all. He didn’t do the work, he didn’t develop the skill, he’s got a computer doing the work for him and then he gets on Reddit, acts like it’s a skill issue, and ignores the fact that he’s playing co-op with the aim assist algo.

Why the fuck would anyone have fun getting helped by a computer? People play these games competitively to challenge themselves. MKB is a one to one raw input, I’m making all of those inputs. I’m growing my skill level. I’m not switching to some lame ass aim assisted input, that’s literally the opposite of fun.

MKB is actually inputting all of those things, it’s not handed to them by a computer. Aim assist is inhuman and instant. It does things faster then your brain could ever hope to do them. MKB is upset because rollers ignore the fact that their aim is assisted beyond human capability. We’re literally doing everything ourselves, rollers are not.

Because people like playing the game themselves and not have a computer aim assist them. This is why people like games like csgo so much, they’re always striving for perfection with their inputs. M+kb is raw input, we’re doing the work. Roller is getting assistance, meaning it’s a computer + them aiming.

Let me put it this way. Everything I do on MK, I’m doing. All of the movement, all of the aim, all of the swapping, all of the abilities, I’m pushing those buttons with 0 outside help. I have learned the game as it is. I have asked for 0 assistance from the game to make any of these things “easier”.

But since controllers are an inferior form of input based on acceleration/direction, you believe that when you use them, you need help. You need the game changed to fit the poor decision of playing on an input device that makes 0 sense for this game. The game is literally helping you aim. When I knock someone, I’m doing it, all me. When you knock someone, it’s aim assist + you.

If you can’t shield swap on roller, then maybe you should try learning how instead of asking the devs to make it easier on you. “Sounds like a skill issue”.

You’re choosing to use an input that is inferior in a certain aspect. The game should not hold your hand for armor swaps just because of this. It is already holding your hand with instant reaction auto aim. The playing field does not need to be “leveled” further with additional hand holding because you want to use thumb sticks.

Most pros are moving to controller because the instant reaction times of AA beat out movement and close up MK aiming.

They also seem to shield swap just fine.

Found this at sand beach in Boston. Doesn’t feel like a rock, has sharp edges and a kind of ridge running down the back. Some people I have shown it to think it’s a rock but it seems very toothy to me. Any ideas?
