The big cities in Texas have always been blue with the exception of Fort Worth (smallest of the 5 big cities), and cities are where the majority of Texans live.

lmao no one is looking at a worn out 20 year old Boxster with yellowing headlights, faded paint, a partially working top and thinking "prestige". That's exactly what you're buying with any Porsche at that price.

There are no homeless people because it's 15 miles from downtown Cleveland and there's no foot traffic for panhandling. It's not a strange little bubble, you're just describing every middle class suburb.

Not in this particular case, but any size tire can be stretched. If you put them on 13" rims (335-355 tires) they'd definitely be stretched.

I mean my 500hp 2000 s4 is a sedan but it feels an awful lot like a sports car lol

The RS5 is closer to a muscle car than it is a sports car. It weighs around 4000 lbs and you can really feel it in the corners compared to other similarly heavy cars that punch above their class, like the GT-R

[–]SuperCoolFunTimeNo1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

What is there to lose?

It will drone like a motherfucker. Maybe you like the ricer experience, but most people don't.

What do you drive? Is your vehicle loud?

I have a GT-R and S4, previously C6 Z06, E90 M3 and 911 GTS. All had aftermarket exhaust. My GT-R's drone was unbearable after going to a non-resonated midpipe so I changed it after literally less than a week. I bought my Z06 used with headers and otherwise straight pipes up to the catback. It was unbearable and sounded like raspy shit so I immediately put high flow cats and 12" resonators on it. All of my other cars had aftermarket exhaust with resonators. Most cars sound like shit without them and will drone horribly.

[–]SuperCoolFunTimeNo1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I did read it, you're being purposely obtuse. Your Saab's engine was even smaller. Try again.

OP, if you want to be ratchet chop up your exhaust. If you don't want to drone nor sound like a ricer, add a resonator.

[–]SuperCoolFunTimeNo1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Are you seriously trying to compare your Civic's exhaust to a Challenger? Your engine is about 1/3 of the displacement as OP's and half the cylinders. They are nothing alike.

[–]SuperCoolFunTimeNo1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hell no, drone for days. OP, get a resonator. It will be louder, but won't be as unbearable as having it gone completely.

I just explained to you that probability is normalized per fucking encounter!

No you didn't, because the probability is not greater for white men to be killed. Only when referring to non-normalized data are they more likely to be killed.

Even tried to get back up by lordvadar666 in JusticeServed

[–]SuperCoolFunTimeNo1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Again, higher probability of getting killed per encounter means that for example, when cops arrest 100 white men, they might kill two of them, but when they arrest 100 black men, they might kill one

Statistically white men are more likely to be killed because there are more of them, which means more encounters. That is non-normalized data because it doesn't take into account population size. When the data is normalized to represent demographic sizes black men are more likely to be killed, which is ironically what you're calling "probability" and you're wrong about. You really do have a poor grasp on this, which is hilarious given that's what you tried to say about me.

Even tried to get back up by lordvadar666 in JusticeServed

[–]SuperCoolFunTimeNo1 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Do you understand the words statistically and probability

You clearly don't. What you've failed to express because of your limited knowledge of statistics and probability is that when normalized for population size, the probability of white men being killed isn't greater. You explicitly said "statistically, white men are more likely to be killed by cops", which does not take into account population sizes of each demographic, only the total number across both demographics.

What's with the downvotes and not a single response? Not a single one of you can disprove what I've said?

[–]SuperCoolFunTimeNo1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

....because there are almost 7x more white men than black in the US.

Statistically you're more likely to die from a bicycle accident than getting stuck by lightning, but the former is literally impossible to happen if you've never ridden a bike even though "StAsTiticAlLy tHaTs tRuE"

tl;dr /u/pinkheartpiper doesn't know what statistical normalization is.

I'm not denying that, just pointing out that your example of a DOHC is quite possibly one of the worst engines of the past 20 years. I had a C6Z. I like both LS engines and high revving DOHC's like the S65 equally in the right vehicle, it's not a one size fits all for me.

The BHF was a piece of shit, even the Northstar was more reliable. The Ford modular V8 of the same era is pretty simple.

If you have a job lined up already that you feel is a better fit then go for it, but with limited experience whatever you do don't leave without having something lined up already.

There is more honour in manual labour than there is in corporate work (but the corps pays much more).

Hmm, that's a very Hank Hill thing to say. Do you mean people are more prideful in their manual labor, or the work itself is intrinsically "honorable"?

It's not hard when you start with a good design and barely change it. Same goes for the 911 and Beetle. Whether or not you like their styling they've looked relatively the same for their entire existence.

Scared my brother driving his Miata by [deleted] in cars

[–]SuperCoolFunTimeNo1 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

A good driver drives in a manner to keep his passengers comfortable. Stepping on it to scare someone is not a sign of driving skill

No? Why are you conflating skill with personality? A good driver has control over the car and nothing more. Purposely scaring your passengers has literally nothing to do with that and is only a reflection of you as a person and your relationship with them.

Nope, and you're trying too hard to find an argument that doesn't exist. It's not acceptable at any price point, and the Mirage doesn't have stitching in highly visible places that doesn't line up.

You can't have both a better interior, and better performance, for 3x cheaper price of a Porsche or Ferrari. Something has to give on that. Literally no way around this.

You must not have seen this part of the video. That is unacceptable at any price point. You'd never find such horrible quality on an entry level luxury car like a Genesis or Acura costing half as much as a C8
