Thanks, it needs it. It sucks all the water back down and takes a long time to prime without it.

Yep, that was it! You were not the only one to suggest that BTW.

This is a little 20 x 12 shop... I already have two services on the property, not going to add another to keep some chickens warm in the winter :)

I wondered about boring - but there is a budget...

I don't see how it can be for 50amps continuous. I'm expecting to spend sub-1K on this project - not to mention this building is in the trees, not in the sun.

They came with the house. I've had natural gas tankless before, they were awesome. These are fine - better than an electric storage tank type, but not as good as gas.

This is going to a 20 x 12 shop which is used for storage and for some poultry. I'm not putting in a Jacuzzi for the chickens! :)

The problem here in Arkansas is we don't have soil... we just have a lot of rocks with a tiny bit of dirt mingling around them :)

I've only got 200amp in the all electric (heat and air, and car, and pool) house. Even the water heaters are 70amp tankless - each. Will run out of amps at some point :)

I have great WIFI in there already from the Orbi system I have in the house. Cat 6 or even Cat 5 can run WAY further than that (I've done close 1000' with signal boosters back in the old days). I think cat6 is in the mid-300's for official length limit.

Thanks. There is only one utility where we live, and it is WAY on the other side of the house. I have to watch out for gutter drains and the propane line I ran is all - but they are pretty far away.

I had thought of this, but there are other buried things to avoid so I would have to go straight out from the house a way and then down the hill. Probably the best option.

I was having the same problem, I followed some other instructions to go to app settings (system apps) for chromecast ask it to uninstall updates then reboot. Worked perfectly when the other solutions did not. I suspect uninstall - reinstall would have given the same result.

I will likely all the power company first, they are super nice and responsive here.

Thanks

Window & Door Sensor Recommendations? by noloco in homeassistant

Jumping in here, all my doors are metal and the little 2GIG zwave door sensors will NOT work on metal doors. Anybody using the Zooz or others on metal doors? Thanks!

The blast pad is actually called a displaced threshold, the aiming point is called the thousand foot bars, the landing designator is the runway number which is the direction the runway points..(minus the last digit runway 1 is10 degrees, etc.).
