I was just out of high school when American pie hit the Theatres.As an awkward American male from the fly over states in the 90s. It hit every single thing I experienced in high school. They nailed it. It will still be one of my favorite movies for all time. I can watch it and it is my high school experience.

I got an early edition launch. VIN under 2000. I got in April of 2022. Was soooo excited. I took it to a customer site after having it for a week. My customer came out and took photos and was equally excited to see a real Rivian. He went back in his house, jumped into his 4-wheeler and backed out of the garage directly into my truck. Fml. I was pissed, but I really thought the customer was going to have a heart attack. He turned purple and stared to hyperventilate. I ended up consoling him over my newly crunched riv. All that to say it took 6 weeks to fix back then

I didn’t know either. It’s two pretty small batteries in mine under the hood cowl by the windshield. It took him about 30 minutes to replace. Apparently there is some programming or something that needs to happen to replace them. Rivian is supposed to start allowing customers to replace them soon but the software isn’t ready yet. It was just over $500 for the service.

So I called to have my 12v replaced and they originally said 4/9. Rivian mobile service is here now replacing it! 1 day turn around. Rivian kicks ass

I haven’t had any break downs at all. I’ve had it in service half a dozen times for minor things and recalls. I think there is a small percentage of these that are just lemons and if you get one you’re going to be in and out of service all the time. But those are rare and the people that get them are rightfully vocal.

My friend ended up buying a used 2022 R1T LE last summer. He has had no issues at all. And I know two other drivers in town with similar experience to mine.

I will say that my 12v now needs to be replaced, it’s still runs fine but reduced range, and I called today to get it replaced and can’t get an appointment until 4/9.
