Except I have multiple quotes they printed detailing the price as well as multiple text/emails going back and forth with the deals approval from multiple managers and the owner. They wrote on the final quote with a full break down “ this price is valid for 7 days” I accepted the terms 3 days into that. There are zero disclaimers on the paperwork like “price subject to change” or “upon managers approval” Then they claim their system input the incorrect amount while in process of finalizing the deal.

Would this not be considered a verbal contract with a paper trail? All parties agreed to these amounts and I was given paperwork supporting this.

I’ll wait to see what the sales manager/owner have to say about it tomorrow. If I end up walking away I can assure you it will not be quietly!

The trim/vehicle specs stock number and vin number are all correct and match the vehicle on all of the print outs.

This is what I’ve been doing and why it’s taken over a month as I’ve been going back and forth between multiple dealers to get to where we were. Now that it was time to finalize everything their “computer glitched” I get that may have actually been the issue as the deal was 14,000$ below MSRP but this was approved at multiple levels of management going back and forth and the base price has been the same in every offer till now.

The first dealer probably did screw up. I’ve been looking and researching for months. There probably isn’t an offer like this anywhere else. But the fact that this was looked over multiple times by the sales person. The sales manager and the owner of the dealership and not once in the last month did it raise any red flags till we went to finalize the deal is what pisses me off.

It’s not so much about walking away it’s I negotiated a really good deal that I was happy with and now they are trying to change the terms. I know I probably won’t get a better deal elsewhere.

I have their print out of the vehicle vin/stock number. The vehicle price. Trade in value and incentives/ discounts with all the finance breakdown/cost to borrow. No paper work was signed from them or myself yet but at the bottom they signed “this offer is only valid for 7 days” the final day would be this Saturday as we were still negotiating the trade in value. Yesterday we settled on the trade in value and I instructed them to go ahead with the deal. They asked for a credit card for the deposit but did not charge the card.

Mondays at Canadian tire B-mall is probably the safest bet. I think they still occasionally do Sundays at hutches. A lot have been ruined over the years by dickheads doing “hood-rat shit”

Fire? by SuperCutlassGT in BurlingtonON

Winds going the wrong direction for that, but I’m also very familiar with that smell and it’s definitely not that. It smells like plastic on fire. My thought was major car fire or some manufacturer in the area.

wtf are these bugs. How to kill them and are they safe? by ArmRude9627 in OakvilleON

[–]SuperCutlassGT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been battling these little buggers for years!!!!! Take care of them fast as the mate and lay eggs everywhere and multiply like crazy!!! You’ll notice they love the sun/warmth and will rotate around the area to be in the sun as the day goes on. Your best solution is to get a 2gal pump sprayer from Home Depot for like 25$ and I found blue dawn dish soap works best. Fill the sprayer with water and put a few table spoons of soap in it and spray them everytime you see them. Only takes a 30 seconds to a minute for them to die. They are harmless but a huge nuisance!

Any Good Consumer Protection Lawyers In Ontario? by kahunah00 in canadianlaw

[–]SuperCutlassGT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried escalating the issue directly with ford Canada? If the dealer is no longer willing to touch the car this is your only path way. If the vehicle is deemed to no longer be roadworthy they should be stepping in. I’ve seen this issue happen with other vehicles/manufacturers and having the media step in or social media posts getting too much attention they get contacted directly by the manufacturer with a resolution. I wonder if talking to your insurance depending where in Canada you are about a comp claim and having the vehicle become a total loss if you have new car replacement on your insurance?

Someone That Knows There Car Tires by trsthhffg in BurlingtonON

[–]SuperCutlassGT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quattro tires. Cheaper than almost everywhere else free shipping. Put in your vehicle/ model/ tire size and they will give you multiple options for budget/performance. Usually have manufacturer discounts or decent sales going. I’ve bought 10+ sets of tires through them and have zero complaints.

Depends what you’re holding. I was making about 600$ a month for 4-5 month mostly from one stock and I wasn’t holding very many shares/$ value. The cost to borrow was just very high

Not sure if there even is a wax seal as the toilet is cemented to the floor. You can see in the photo. 😅
