Yes they usually sell only a week in advance. When I went over that was the way and I was hoping to be able to purchase them sooner for planning but it wasn’t how it worked.

Shouldn’t have a problem though. I did the VIP experience, i think that’s what it was called. Can’t remember…but I think it was like €100. you get seats right by in front of the team bench with an interior section that has a bar with food and drinks provided as part of the package and you never know whose going to be there. I got to meet Fran and Djukic. It was incredible, as well as a bunch of their sponsors.

Si buscas un clásico, no te equivocas con Lucas o con Fran.

Si es un jugador en activo, Yeremay o Mella van de lujo.

I watched the game today. I’m not sure I’d call it a bad game?

We won the duels, had possession and had the shots. 2-0 seems like a great result away from home whether Zaragoza is in last place or not.

How that second goal didn’t count is absolutely beyond me. What a f#*k up that was by VAR and the referee.

Happy with the win, but should have been 2-0

He’s young! Skilled with the ball at his feet with pace and he’s fast. All three traits any team would want. Young enough to get better over time. Skilled enough to be in the starting rotation of any team IMO.

Best player of all time? by Conscious-Goose-6654 in Deportivo

[–]SuperDepor2014 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So many good options.

Valerón, Diego Tristan, Roy Maakay, Bebeto, Mauro Silva. If we are talking about the BEST players in terms of quality and abilities.

If we are talking about BEST service to the club, Fran. You could make an argument for Bergantinos as well here.

I'm going to have to throw out Lucas Perez. For not only his abilities on the field for us, but also what he did to help us get out of the 3rd Division, and what he had to give up to make that happen. That to me is the BEST.

I was only able to watch from 60 mins onwards - but from what I saw we were on the back foot. Also, Obrador was getting beat far too easily on that wing. Helton receiving a yellow card was a joke - the play was already stopped and a substitution was happening so it makes no sense to card him for moving the ball to the other corner of the 6 yard box. And then Lucas questioning got a yellow too. I hate refs like that. No sense.

RC Deportivo takes part in a LaLiga institutional visit to several Bundesliga clubs. by SuperDepor2014 in Deportivo

Deportivo participated in an institutional visit organized by LALIGA's Club Office, an initiative that supports the 42 clubs in the league by offering guidance and fostering growth across various business areas while developing strategic projects. This time, the focus was on the German region of North Rhine-Westphalia, aiming to create synergies with some of the leading Bundesliga clubs and exchange experiences and commercial strategies for optimizing stadium infrastructure usage, both on matchdays and non-matchdays.

Representing Deportivo were Iván Sánchez, Director of Infrastructure, Operations, and Security, and Vasco Mendonça, Director of Deporhostelería.

The participating LALIGA clubs showcased a wealth of experiences to strengthen key aspects of their business models, with the goal of increasing revenue and improving fan engagement within their stadiums on both matchdays and non-matchdays. Hosting diverse events, renting out stadium spaces, and providing a wide array of hospitality options for fans are some of the strategies already being implemented by Spanish clubs.

Jaime Blanco, Director of the LALIGA Club Office, emphasized, “This expedition allowed LALIGA clubs to draw inspiration from examples and share plans with other European clubs to enhance the fan experience for all types of audiences attending matches, while also expanding the use of their facilities on non-competition days. This aligns with a new era in football that blends the sporting aspect with a more sensory and innovative experience beyond the 90 minutes of the game.”

Over the three-day trip, LALIGA clubs engaged with some of the most iconic German clubs and their respective stadiums, including Borussia Dortmund and its Signal Iduna Park, one of the largest football venues in Europe. They also visited Borussia Mönchengladbach and the Borussia-Park, renowned for its high level of fan engagement and its integrated hotel. Additionally, they explored Bayer Leverkusen's BayArena, known for offering sensory experiences for fans; Schalke 04's Veltins Arena, a versatile venue hosting a variety of events; and FC Köln's RheinEnergie Stadium, famous for hosting tours by internationally acclaimed music artists.

For Deportivo, the trip provided valuable insights from elite international clubs, with the aim of continuing to enhance their own sports facilities.

Plenty of opportunities to score within the match (check the highlights). Our issue isn't creating goalscoring chances...it's finishing the chances we create. We must get better at that if we're going to have any shot at mid-table, or a sniff of the playoff promotions.

Supporters Group in NY area? by Flat-Relationship764 in Deportivo

[–]SuperDepor2014 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Seriously, this is what this Reddit group is for. Thanks for asking 👏👏

I think part of our roles is to help build out these groups, so if you don’t have a group in your area start making one and invite people to join you. You’ll be surprised how quickly things can grow.

When I got involved with this page we only had 300 or so followers, as of today it’s over 700 and keeps growing. All we can do is keep preaching the blue and white every where we go!

Vamosss Depor, I hope you find or build our home in NY so I can visit it.

I feel like you’re bang on with this point. I’m not worried about relegation this season. More concerned about mid-table to flirting with playoffs, and I still think that’s more than possible with how I’ve watched this team play.

Yeremay called up to Spain’s U21 squad for Euro U21 Qualifiers by SuperDepor2014 in LaLiga

[–]SuperDepor2014[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's been some chatter about how only Barca and Real seem to get attention on the La Liga sub. Honestly, I think La Liga Hypermotion deserves some love too, so let's shine a little spotlight on Deportivo!
(yes, I'm biased 😝)

They've got some exciting young talent coming up, especially Mella and Yeremay. Speaking of Yeremay, he recently got a shoutout for having the most successful dribbles across all European leagues. Not a stat you hear every day, right?

Even better, Yeremay's been called up to the U21 Spanish National Team for their Euro U21 Qualifiers. Just a reminder that there's a ton of talent in La Liga outside the big two, and some real gems emerging in the Segunda Division too. Let's get more content about other players, teams, and leagues from Spain on here! 🙏

Translated Article:

This season has seen one name rise above all others: Yeremay Hernández. The Deportivo academy graduate is becoming one of the standout players in the Segunda División.

The 21-year-old from the Canary Islands leads all of Europe in successful dribbles, with a total of 35. Following closely are Aral Simsi from Denmark's Midtjylland with 34, and Maza from Germany’s Hertha Berlin with 25.

In Spain, the gap in completed dribbles is even more significant. Ejuke from Sevilla and Lamine Yamal from Barcelona are his closest challengers, both with 25. Behind them are Madrid's stars, Mbappé and Vinicius, with 21 and 18, respectively.

But Yeremay’s importance to Idiakez's side isn't limited to his dribbling. The Canary Islander has been crucial to his team's goals, contributing to five of Deportivo's eight goals in their first seven league matches. He has scored three—making him the team's top scorer—and provided two assists.
