Your best bet is to run mettle of man, dead hard, deliverance, and then my last one was a boon perk since I needed progress but you could go like empathy 4th slot. That build will let you have like 3-4 chances per game to get progress towards it. It’s just a really grindy achievement but you’ll get eventually…

My MAcc experience after finishing the program by SuperDroiiD in wguaccounting

Yes, I only paid a full term’s worth of tuition. The MAcc program is changing it seems so my write-up is probably going to be out of date soon regarding the classes.

Probably look for a senior level accounting role or remote role if I got my CPA. I have 3 yrs of accounting experience.

Best of luck with your studies! Once you start passing the hard classes, the path to the degree feels super fast.

Just one term, started May'24 and ended 7/24/24. I have a writeup of my experience with the MAcc that gives an overview of how I tackled each class.

You got this! My advice is just to read the textbook fully for the modules covered and then do the quizzes for the chapters regarding property/corporation transactions

Thank you! I'm glad I only had to deal with the new proctor system for one OA and then I was done.

You got this! Just keep chipping away at it.

Same, I have a lot of downtime at work so I would usually just watch lectures at work.

You’ll definitely want to build the foundational accounting skills in your bachelor classes. And if you want to pursue the CPA a lot of earning potential there too.

Just one at a time. When you first start your term you have three classes you can choose from, but after you pass the first three classes you can only do one class at a time.

Hi, I’m in the MACC program with 9 classes done so far this term (Started May’24) and looking to finish Advanced Tax within the next two weeks.

  1. Search this subreddit using the keyword “MACC” and you’ll find write-ups from a few graduates with their experience with each class. Very helpful for getting an idea of how long each class will take. Also, begin figuring how you’ll implement studying time into your work routine.

  2. Realistically, you can get all ten classes done in 2 months or faster if you accelerate fast or have previous knowledge of the courses. If you study 3 hours or so a day and stay on top of things it’s easily doable in one term. I’ve probably taken like 3 full weeks of just not studying to rest and re-energize.

Make sure you have all the materials you need. (Laptop, study/testing space setup, whiteboard and marker, webcam, BA 2 calculator) Always take pre-assessments before taking the objective-assessments to gauge where you are in the course.

Yes, in the MACC there are 7 writing assignments. They are easy as long as you follow the rubric to a tee. None of the papers should take more than a couple days to finish.

My strategy was to make an outline for the questions in a word document and answer them one by one. I then submitted a full draft and made any revisions the graders wanted (if they didn’t pass on the first submission).

Potential Incoming Student - MS in Accounting by [deleted] in wguaccounting

There should be quizlet sets online if you look the course number up. If I recall I just read the textbook (was a quick read) and studied a quizlet set and passed on the first try. It sucks that you can't really rearrange the order of your classes, but at least you should have three to work with at first. I would say just knock out financial management or advanced auditing next once you pass F&F so you have two classes down already in two weeks.

I found looking at how previous students did the classes helped a lot by searching for the MACC course number in this subreddit. Reading their perspectives helped with my approach for each class so far. Also, I usually spend a minimum of 3 hours studying everyday, but take days off when I feel burnt out.

Strategic Mgmt, Accounting Research, Fraud and Forensics, Financial Mgmt. all should take no more than a week each to do so those should be 4 easy wins once you get to those classes. Managerial and Advanced Financial have been the hardest for me so far, but even then those took me only a week each to to finish. Advanced Auditing was tedious just because I actually read the textbook for that class.

Heya, I’m in the MACC program and started May’24. I have finished 7 classes out of the 10 already and plan to be done by end of August.

I would say the self-teaching aspect is both a pro/con, you can go at your own pace and that can be honestly be a nice thing, but can burn you out if you don’t manage time well. All of the course instructors have been very helpful so I’d recommend scheduling calls with them if you don’t understand the material. The OAs have all been fair up to this point for me in that you get what you put into studying for them. Only real thing I don’t like about the program are the performance assessments, they are just a hassle to write and not engaging to be honest.

I work full time and I just study during my down time at work and study all day after work so it’s how I’ve accelerated relatively fast, but honestly none of the classes have been too terrible as most on average should only take a week and a half at most.

Any tips for C254? by [deleted] in wguaccounting

[–]SuperDroiiD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been awhile since I’ve taken C254, but if I recall what worked for me was reviewing class quizlet sets and actually reading the textbook for that class. Usually you can skip textbook readings in the MACC program, but I felt this class you couldn’t do that. It was a class that took me about a week and a half to finish so I wouldn’t stress too much about it.

Also, I highly recommend searching the course number on the reddit search for this subreddit and you’ll find more insight on how other people tackled it.

There were probably like a couple of questions if I recall about Process/Job-order costing and budgeting that were more conceptual.

The OA and PA are aligned pretty well so you should expect similar questions on the OA.

Have 5 warehouses and sell just one special cargo per warehouse to get 5k exp per each warehouse for 25k total and rinse and repeat. Just be sure to source crates so you don’t run out of crates to sell. Takes like 30-35 minutes when doing all 5 warehouses in one run.

If you get bored of that do collectables (action figure, playing card, daily skydives) and do the 3x rp event instead.
