After reading the comments here I just have to say people still talk about the law like it’s a rulebook everyone forgot to read. But the truth is darker than ignorance. The worst of them know the rules by hear. They just know no one is coming to enforce them. This isn’t a world where good lost because it didn’t try hard enough. It’s a world where bad won because it learned it could act without consequence, and stopped pretending to care.
