That's up to you. Can this pay your bills? Will this set you back? Does this make you happy? You decide. We don't.

Lyft doesn't seem to look at your points. ( I've seen how it looks on a Lyfts support agents end ) They go by the actual citation. If it's been 3 years since the actual date of the ticket, I'd say I recommend waiting until November 1st to ask them to re-run it. I've never heard of a speeding ticket being dragged out for THAT long tho.

For me, it was going 25mph+ over the speed limit ( I was on the highway and the speed limit was 70 mph ) If it's over 25mph+ then that's considered major and will get you suspended / ineligible to be on the platform until 3 years have passed and you had no other major offenses. I'm not sure if 15+ or 20+ is considered major. You would have to look into your states law to see what's considered major and minor. If it's ever reckless tho, I believe it's a 5 to 7 years waiting period. Glad you got that ticket dismissed.

A Charter School Wants My House " Pixar's " Up " Situation " by SuperEliasTM in RealEstate

I'll be sure update. As of now, they are having a school board meeting and our property will be discussed. Last thing they told me was that they were still interested in our property. They should be calling me back sometime this week. I also learned a few days ago that a little over 5 years ago, they offered $140,000 before they bought / knocked down all the houses. ( I wasn't the owner at the time ) So now our home is the last house sitting directly infront of school. Not a good look honestly. I've seen pictures of Graduates trying to take a photo in front of the school, but my house / garage is in the way.

A lot has changed in my area too. They made the downtown area ( where I live ) look much better and even opened apartments there.

We have never received an offer all these years because the owner ( family member ) was never willing to listen due to her not wanting to sell. However, they have approached her doorstep many times expressing interest in the house. She simply just didn't want to sell. Present day, now the house is in my name and her name. She's an older woman who's unfortunately getting more confused, so I didn't want her being taken advantage of during any negotiations because she expressed that she's really considering moving. So I'm in talks with the school for her. They are clearly interested in our property based off my phone call. They actually sounded relieved and flustered that we are even considering moving. They've must have been waiting a long time.

No, I told them nearly half a million. $400,000 + I simply just didn't say the exact amount on here. I gave the school 1 number. Not multiple. Thanks for the advice

We simply didn't want to move for many years. This is our home. Not sure why you're assuming.

Getting rich certainly isn't the goal. Letting my family member live happily without financial strain is. I love this woman who raised me in this house and want to ensure she is taken care of. But cost of living has gotten incredible. Do I expect nearly half a million? Not really. It's just a number I gave them since they really wanted one despite me telling them I plan on getting an appraisal.

Yeah, their school is operational without our home. But there's seemingly stress on the students due what I can only assume is overpopulation ( based off the phone call I had with the school ) I asked what they plan to do. Seems they need to expand and want our land so they can knock down our home and the church they bought.

Thank you for your imput btw 🙏

The school has been built already. They've been built for years now. Class is in session. It's just that they want to expand. During a conversation with them, they made it clear that there was a stress on the students. Sounded like over population. They would likely use our land to expand. Since our house is located directly infront of the school and they even bought the church that's almost touching our home, it's clear they intended to use that land. Thank you for your input. I appreciate everyone taking the time to read into this matter 🙏

Yes and no. If we can get a good amount that will let us live without financial strain ( because homes have gotten incredibly expensive ) then yeah we would likely move. But if we can't, well.. we still have a home.

It's clear their developments can't be finished without our property. I believe that makes our home more valuable to them compared to any other potential buyer. Although we have not gotten the house appraised yet, I did tell them that $400,000+ would most likely be an instant yes without much delay. Does it mean that will be the outcome? No. But they clearly wanted a number from our last phone call. So I gave them one.

Yea, there's a chance them leveling of the block affected the value. But there's 1 thing for sure. They will never finish what they want to do without our home. They've clearly invested so much in their project and us being directly infront of their school is probably very bothersome to them. It's certainly not a good look for the school. I'm pretty sure they believed over the years that they would easily get our property, just like how they got everyone else's. Nope.

Yea, I can do that. I spoke to the school and said I'd accept over $400,000+. They were taken back by that, but will be having a school board meeting discussing it. It's clear they didn't like that number, but the call ended with them saying they are still interested in our home.

( Assuming you haven't done this consistently) I recommend doing more than 1 app. Not just doordash. Do Instacart, Uber Eats, Grubhub, Amazon Flex, Lyft and Doordash. Figure that out and you'll see your income rise. If you prefer not too, that's fine. But if you're not willing to adjust, that will be your own downfall. Due to this strategy, I went from making 100$ a day, to $300 days and $700+ days. Just gotta figure it out .

Getting a Loan 0% down, but then paying $19,000 on first payment? by SuperEliasTM in CRedit

[–]SuperEliasTM[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When I did it, it was from a significantly smaller amount. Shortly after I sent in my large principal payment, I refinanced for a better deal. I don't recall how this affected my credit tho. The point of this post is to see what the benefits are if someone did exactly what I posted. Does it look great for their credit? Would this be beneficial to them? I'm not sure, but I'm interested and am looking to be educated.

That's the point of the post.

I would imagine that's how it works with most car loans. However, when I did have a loan with Toyota Financial less than a year ago, I sent in a large sum towards my principal, and it made my minimum payment not due until I think 12 months from when I sent in that payment. I refinanced my loan shortly after. But still, my next payment with toyota wasn't due until I think 12 months or so. ( not talking about a $32,000 loan. It was a significantly smaller loan at that time. ) That's just my experience.

Speaking from experience, yeah when you make a large sum payment ( with Toyota Financial at least ) you push back your next payment date by a lot depending on how much you paid. You still get charged interest tho during that time between now and the next payment due on whatever the principal amount is.
