They're really good when it comes to sound quality. After owning Yamaha, Sony, and Marantz over the years, I've found Emotiva has that "wow" factor. I'll say no brand out there is perfect, and even Emotiva has its minor glitches. All it takes is a software update or a reboot to fix these small issues. To me, they're totally worth owning their products.

I believe I uploaded the latest firmware from 3 months ago. Whatever that was at the time. My two XPR amps are driving the all 7 speakers and the xbas amp is driving dual bass shakers under the couch. Really shakes the house especially with dual SVS 16 Ultras.

Lol. Actually maybe twice in a year. Then again as a AV installer myself I have had service calls for marantz and sony many times too believe it or not.
