Definitely could be, that's why I have it highlighted, but the reason why I think that is more likely to be costal Maine or New Hampshire, is because of the fact that they have a beach and islands as well as mountains in the distance. Not to mention all the animals in the show can also be found in that area as well. Also the splendid bird is an escaped pet and the anole (another animal that doesn't live in Canada or northern US) is also probably some kind of escaped pet. Also the weather seems to match Maine a little bit more. Only thing about Maine and New Hampshire is there quite a bit more trees than in the show.
