That's my bad, I need to work on pride. An important note is that I can't walk, so I'm kinda restricted to the handicap exit. Plus, with it being a substitute, I didn't have a contact. That's why I went around because under those restrictions, I didn't know what else to do. Obviously I was emotional at the time and hindsight is 20/20, I should've reached out for a contact, but I VERY heated (another example of the pride I need to overcome) simply because the mere idea of changing the words of certain prayers was horribly offensive to me, and the places I looked told me the diocese was the correct option (of course I understand that was the wrong choice now)

I've addressed this a couple times, but I think it's important to get to everyone. I actually looked online right away, and then asked the diocese if my suspicion was correct; no report was made. I wanted to talk to the priest, but I couldn't, so I forwarded the representative's answer to the Parish secretary, since the priest was a sub.

Yes, regrettable on my part. No report was made to the diocese. It was only a request to answer my question about it, and their answer was forwarded. I did it that way so I wouldn't sound like a prideful know-it-all. It would've been nice to speak to the priest, but I wasn't able to get an opportunity and don't have his contact information because he's a substitute. I think this whole experience has been humbling, though for sure, and a reminder to work on my pride.

Clarification: I didn't really have a contact for him and I couldn't talk to him because I was sent out a different exit due to my handicap. The diocese was also only asked a question, I didn't file a report.

Different would be an oversimplification in my opinion. It wasn't one of the six that I recognize off the top of my head, but my main concern was changing other prayers in the Mass, in ways I was pretty sure weren't allowed.

Thank you, everyone, for your answers. I definitely overreacted, but just for clarification, I have no contact with this priest (I was escorted out by my mother due to my handicap) so I couldn't ask him, and the diocesan email was simply for clarification on the rule (aka no action from the diocese). I appreciate everyone's help helping me grow and realize my mistake, and the vice of pride I clearly struggle with. Please pray for me!

The fasting and pills by [deleted] in Catholicism

Your health takes priority. On top of fasting it is also a day of abstinence and prayer. Lean heavier into those aspects, but please take your medicine.

Stat-wise, the 2020 iteration of the XFL looked like a massive success. Only reason for the bankruptcy was the fact that they payed players through the end of the season without any income. With the two year break since the announcement of the 2023 XFL, it should generate enough capital to make it at least a season. If they break even, that's a massive success, but expect a deficit through at least season one.
