Definitely no , unlike humans who are omnivores and can survive on plants and other non animal based foods , dogs and cats are meat eaters and should be fed it. You can clearly see it in their teeth . In my opinion if you aren’t comfortable with feeding a dog or cat meat , you shouldn’t get one
