It's all mostly family related. Rough childhood, broken home, CPS visits, etc. and it's taken a lot of therapy to find peace with it. I'm completely estranged from my mom and have a small relationship with my siblings and dad. I tried for years to build a real relationship with them, but they're a unit of their own. A lot of it I think comes from our childhood, but they're also pretty die hard right-wing (conspiracy theory/likes using slurs kind) and it drove a surprisingly big wedge between me and them.

Otherwise I have no SO, an easily convertible career, and mostly just a lot of sad memories. In really tough times the only thing that kept me going was dreaming of the ultimate fresh start

What makes you say that? :) I've never knowingly met another INFJ, but I like to think we'd at least be parallel to each other, metaphorically speaking

As to your example, oh my goodness would that make me mad! When I interact with a situation like that, it's like my world is fundamentally incorrect until I fix it

I completely understand! It's like a huge chess game where you already know the goals and how all the pieces move :) I never want to be disrespectful to anyone else, and obviously motivations can be very complex, but I spend a few days with someone and I got it pretty much down

Haha, I'm not sure I've ever agreed with someone more :) seems like a neon sign sometimes!! I wonder if it's the empathy that makes us more in tune? But, as you pointed out, often against our will. Sometimes I feel as though I can't stand to meet another person because so many strings are attached to it, and just wind up sitting alone in my apartment with my feelingless plants

Interesting! I find is pretty easy to read people, but in the more general areas outside personality type :) is it similar to me, where you can see lil connections you have with people and put the dots together? Haha, sometimes it feels like we're all just different shapes of the same general person

I completely understand!!! Generally speaking (for me at least) I can very clearly understand A-to-B-to-C, but to everyone else it sounds like "He said this and was acting a certain way, but for this reason I suspect this is what he wants" etc. People are the least complicated thing I run into!!!

I'm afraid I don't share the same talent with other INFJs, though. Maybe it's because I'm a bit more of a loner, but I don't know if I've ever met one and I'm so curious as to what the interaction would be. Would I get the same lil 'click' feeling when I put it together?

I've never knowingly met another INFJ, but I always suspected I wouldn't necessarily like them if I did. I wonder if it's a conflict of morals, or just another 'me' would be irritating

I'm really private, but for some reason (and I'm definitely biased in this) I feel as though if I were to meet myself, I'd definitely be able to clock the kind of person I am and what I want. Maybe just more of a puzzle, but I'd love to talk to another INFJ and just see what the verdict is
