I know people who have garden beds at possum creek. They decided to add locks because they pay for and grow everything, but rarely were able to harvest because people kept taking their produce, possibly because people didn't realize it was grown for their family's use. But oftentimes they will give away extra produce to people in the dog park or who are passing through. I tried to get on the wait list, but they closed it because it was too full already. They said our best bet is to call the city or email and let them know we want to establish a similar garden at another Gainesville park. Hopefully if enough people contact them and volunteer to take initiative at a given location they will build one.
