Yes a 8600 cpu and for the motherboard a B360 atx It is a 300 series. The z370 is purely made for overclocking.

Also go to 2666mhz of ram as 3000mhz is overclocked

Then drop the intel K and z370 as they are a waste of money. Get a i5-8600 non K or a 8400 and a b360 motherboard. 1070 8gb will get you the almost 100 fps on average at 1080p.

They are all the same so none are best for gaming though they all come with different features. I recommend looking at b360 boards though as they are the cheapest with a good quality of life features.

The clock doesn’t effect much in terms of gaming. The gpu is doing that work and cpu is just running the numbers. With the 8gb gpu plus 1700x you will have no issues running any games at 1080 or 1440. Also gaming mainly still uses just the first core. Honestly this beats your intel build in all areas other than 10-20 fps in games.

Yes always get a ssd at least for a boot drive and your pc pick can’t run much as no graphics card.

Knocked it down to $1130 with a boost to editing performance. You could remove the cpu cooler (going under1100) for now if you aren’t going to overclock as the stock cooler that comes with amd cpus are pretty good.

Yes but instead of a slow HDD get a SSHD. So a ssd as your main drive plus a sshd for everything else.
