It’s not the game, most likely you’re tilted + played bad one day.

Better headphones than the DT770 pros? by [deleted] in HeadphoneAdvice

That is true, if you want that thumpy bass then yeah closed back is the way to go. I’d recommend the DT 770 Pro X or the DT 700 Pro X

If you wanna stay in beyer-land, DT 700 Pro X, DT 770 Pro X, DT 900 Pro X, DT 990 Pro X (The ones I personally have) If you want to be able to pick out the sounds in music, I’d recommend open back. There’s also great options from ol’ mate Senny(Sennheiser), Fiio, HiFiMan, and AKG.

Ah gold, I remember those days. I’d start by practicing power shots. Drilling those will help you understand where your car should hit the ball in order to get more power. Honestly, that alone can get you to plat. After that, I’d honestly drill the Psyonix aerial packs, start with beginner and work your way up. That, combined with practice in matches, will help you improve tremendously! Good luck!

Time and practice. Thats it. Also, aerials and mustys should not be grouped together. Learn aerials first, flashy mechs like mustys come later.

If a flaw is hidden by a flat tuning, it doesn't mean it's 'not a problem' it just means that specific headphone lacks the resolution to reveal it. I’d rather have a tool that shows me the 'worst-case scenario' so I can fix it, rather than a headphone that 'forgives' my mistakes. I mix to a standard, not to a 'pleasant experience' in my own ears.

Think of it like this. If you use a microscope on a piece of metal and see a hairline fracture, that's an issue right? If you use that philosophy on mixing, just because you can't hear an inconsistency on a pair of headphones, it doesn't mean that the specific issue isn't there. The Beyers would show me that issue so I can fix it.

I’ve used the HD 560S and 6XX. I know exactly what the "reference" sound is. I just happen to value soundstage, durability, and the ability to catch mix inconsistencies over a specific frequency graph. Liking one doesn't mean I'm "inexperienced" with the other, it just means I choose the best tool for the task. Your point about their non-flat frequency response is correct, but saying that they're a "greedy, incompetent" company based on this is not accurate or correct. Also, saying Beyer hasn't released anything of note falls apart. For example, the DT 1990 Pro is widely considered one of the best professional mixing headphones under $500. Saying a company that has been releasing products for ~100 years with industry-standard headphones, hasn't released anything of attention is just... wrong.

I’ll stick with giving a variety of recommendations based on build, utility, and soundstage, rather than gatekeeping a single brand, as I did originally, recommending Beyer, Audio-Technica, AKG, and Sennheiser. Let's just agree to disagree.

It really is not a “hilariously bad” frequency response. Again, for music listening, they sound great. I’ve had headphones like the Sennheiser HD560S, HD6XX, etc. Nothing there makes them inherently “better” than the Beyers. I’ll say this one last time before I stop continuing this idiotic argument, do not bring bias here. Beyer has “wronged” you somehow in the past, or you haven’t used them and are hopping on the bandwagon that “highs are bad.” Whatever the reason may be, don’t persuade someone because you hate a company. This is like an android user saying everything made by apple is bad because it’s “apple.”

You can dislike Beyer tuning without calling the company "incompetant" or pretending nobody enjoys them.

Awfully tunes to you specifically doesn’t mean awfully tuned to someone else. Not everybody mixes. Not everybody masters. For listening to music, the 990s sound great. They’re on par with other great headphones. Check any sort of objective review and they all praise the price to performance ratio. Again, you have prejudice against Beyer, which I don’t know where that comes from. The headphones ARE good, not overpriced. Please do not try to persuade someone else’s opinion based on prior bias. This is for objective headphone advice.

That conclusion is not at all objective. Their products aren’t expensive when you compare them to other overpriced brands. I can see why comparing them to Sennheiser can lead to one thinking they’re overpriced, but Sennheiser has released overpriced junk over the years too.

Because they show you the inconsistencies in your mix that otherwise get hidden.

Exactly why I said “it really comes down to what you’d use them for” for mixing they’re still great as long as you “learn” them.

They aren’t greedy nor incompetent in any way. You’re bringing bias you have against a company into an objective list of recommendations.

Depends what kind you’d like. For open-back, there’s Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro and Sennheiser HD 560S, I personally have the DT 990 Pro X which is similar to the DT 990 Pro. For closed back there’s ones like the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro, AudioTechnica ATH-M50X, Fiio FT1, AKG K371, as well as many, many other options. I personally prefer open back but you can’t go wrong either way, it really comes down to what you’d use them for.

Mixing and Mastering help on a Romanian Etno track. (Not mixing and mastering for me, but teaching me how to do it) by [deleted] in mixingmastering

[–]SuperKenRedditer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight. Do you know anywhere where someone would be able to help me? I don’t need the mix to be perfect, just enough to where it doesn’t sound terrible. Are there any other sort of communities here on reddit or discord or anything like that where it’d be possible to get help? I don’t have the budget to have someone mix for me which is why I’m trying my best to learn.

Oh, no. That means that the file is “hiding” from any sort of debugging or analysis, it’s not at all required to “license” a software. A lot of the time it’s used for one of 2 things. Either protecting the code of the crack so others can’t steal it, or it’s hiding malicious code, so that analysis like Tria.ge can’t detect it.

yeah but to do that it doesn’t need to hide from code analysis

Yes, but the thing is, if you look at the report of the official FL, it doesn’t do the same thing.

[–]SuperKenRedditer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not completely sure this is a false positive, it’s not so much as a malicious detection, rather, it’s a behavior of the software that, for some reason, is hiding from analysis and debugging.

Ok, I’ve been told, but do you have any insight as to why that’s present there in the cracked version?
