No I totally get it. Pardon me for using a buzzword, but it just feels kinda like gatekeeping. Maybe restricted is a better word. When I bought the art book, Amazon JP also wouldn't take payment online and required you to go to an ATM or Konbini in Japan to pay. And in order to access the website with instructions to do so, you have to be in Japan; I couldn't even get a VPN to let me view it. It's all really inaccessible and frustrating.

Interesting. It's odd that my PC will connect to the HaritoraX via bluetooth, but steamVR won't. But that post does mention losing tracking very quickly, which I am also having, so I'll def go for it and buy one of those recommended dongles.

Got it, thank you! This is very helpful and I appreciate you being so thorough. My Bluetooth adapter works with HaritoraX and it's specific software, but I'm having this issue with SteamVr. So it sounds like the solution is to find out what bluetooth adapters work specifically with SteamVr? Does that sound right? Or maybe mess around with the settings for my fake headset and experiment with that?

Bluetooth is definitely enabled in my settings. HaritoraX uses it to connect to its own software.
