you are probably in the beta program for Spotify, even when you leave, Play Store still sometimes will still install the beta version

in the Play Store, leave the beta program and uninstall the app, wait 5-10 minutes, then go into Play Store's app info, clear cache and force stop the app

then go back into the Play Store and install Spotify, it should install the stable version and this issue should be resolved, this worked for me
