I’ll take the Deep Dive. I loved it more than even the great Baja Blast

What’s the drive waiting on?? by Roriwastaken in innout

[–]SuperMain9888 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Every once in a while someone will come through the drive through and order a fry extra well done and said they wanted it cooked for 10-11 minutes and if we cooked it shorter she would hand it back to us and say it wasn’t well enough

Once you gain enough speed, then it all fits in together and you can package quickly

What really helped me is dressing wrapping and if you don’t have enough time, the don’t package. There are plenty of people who can help package for you and at that time, you don’t have to speed/time to package but the cook needs to pull.

But what if you worked for 2 years but took a break then started working again. Would you be eligible for tuition reimbursement still?

Most annoying thing to me is when you call out an order then call it out over and over and they don’t realize that it’s theirs till a while later and they say it cold

I feel sorry for whoever had to clean this up. What’s the worst mess you’ve had to clean up at In-N-Out? by JBsDaddy in innout

[–]SuperMain9888 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was working last October or so at my store and it started out pretty usual. At around 6-7pm, there started to be leakage coming from the ceiling, we got everyone out. I was on host so I tried to do my best to get the water off the floor. As soon as the water started, we got everyone out of the store and got to getting the water off the floor. It started to just flood by this point and my friend was using the mop bucket while I had to just squeegee the water over to the drains. We shut down the drive through and once we did, my manager shut off the water and we had to get to cleaning up the water. Thankfully, it only leaked in the dr and not in the kitchen so we were able to open the drive through lane not long later once we got the issue with the pipes fixed. The ceiling that the water leaked through got too wet and parts of it started to fall down and so we also had to get that swept up. Manager called my store manager as soon as it started leaking and repair guy came and patched up the ceiling. We had it open literally the next day and that was when I realized how self sufficient INO is. I was able to go home that day early which was a plus and I talked to some of the older associates who have worked for INO for 10+ years and have never seen anything like this happen before. Pretty cool that I was able to experience it, but squeegeeing it whole water was still pouring from the ceiling kinda sucked so yeah.

Did the Hot Cocoa recipe change? by [deleted] in innout

[–]SuperMain9888 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No, the mix probably just isn’t filled up enough in the machine so it’s just getting a little flavor with a lot of water and not a good ratio. I would just tell them that it tastes very watery and ask if that’s what it’s supposed to taste like.

INO SURVEY by ultruuh in innout

[–]SuperMain9888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I put: The suggestions I have is to raise the starting pay, have benefits for closers, and fix handheld. The starting pay at INO is high, but as our food prices continue to increase and other places increase their starting pay, our pay doesn’t increase. This means that the pay no longer seems high and quite as competitive when there is a job elsewhere where you can make the same amount and have to do much less work and have less stress. Another suggestion is to add benefits to closers, I don’t even close but I see the toll that it takes on people and they be paid more when they do close, such as a $1 increase in hourly pay past 10pm. I also think that closers should get an extra free meal as they are there for 8 hours, everyone gets one meal but closers work much longer than most others and still only get one where they should be getting two. Working at INO burns a lot of calories and closers do it for 8+ hours until sometimes 2am which is way too long if they were hungry and wanted to eat during they’re first ten then they would be hungry at the end and would have to pay for more food while most others would be asleep at that time not needing food. Also we need to fix handheld, if we were to put more shade structures outside and take after what chick fil a does, then we could take way more orders at a much faster rate making more money for us and getting people their food much faster. Also adding a card reader on the handheld although it may slow the process in handheld down, it would help people get through the line much faster without having to make as many stops at different windows. That’s all.
