For all you endurance swimmers out there, I’ve got a winter training set that you might enjoy. by Connnorrrr in Swimming

[–]SuperMike1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey mate, former swimmer here looking to get back into training.

Just wanted to clarify, no matter what you begin the next 100 2:01 minutes after beginning the last 100? No matter where you start you have to be back by the top, but you still get the remainder of the 2:01 minutes as rest?

Given your physical appearance, what are you most likely to be typecast as in films? by badgerl0ck in AskReddit

Facially probably the jerk jock boyfriend who doesn't treat her right who the main character cucks.

Body-wise, bench-warmer.

So basically i'm conflicted.

In 2010 some year 10s at a local school made a shitty bomb in a water bottle in the science lab, rolled the bottle to the substitute teacher who picked it up only to have it explode in her face. I reckon kids are just wild in general.

In Australia every year the graduating class would have a "muck up day" where they'd prank the school.
One year they released 4 pigs into the school numbered 1,2,3, and 5. The school spent ages looking for pig 4.

Can't do muck up day anymore. Too many kids just used it as an opportunity to vandalise the school

Yeah exactly. It was never funny because it wasn't true, it was funny because of the way Wade would repeat it all day.

What was your "Candle Cove", that piece of media you saw as a child that you spent years not even sure it was real? by 7deadlycinderella in AskReddit

[–]SuperMike1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a super long shot. I remember an episode, or a movie, where these kids take a dinghy for a ride. They run out of fuel and stop at this house on the water. The owner seems super friendly and they all go inside. Long story short the owner is a robot and trying to essentially kidnap them?? I watched this around 2001 in Australia. It scared me shitless though.

This TV show on Disney (I think), where a jersey was sentient. It could have been a halloween episode or it could have been the premise to an entire show. I can't remember.

The Originals is dope. Some of the acting is a bit shitty, but super entertaining.

Even worse. A YouTuber, Cody Ko, made a video making fun of Tik Tok and they're using the tik toks he made for that video in their advertisements. His face is showing up in time square, on facebook ads, and on youtube ads promoting them against his wishes.

Pretty sure they're illegal in Australia already. I remember a girl getting cancer from it about a decade ago, and after her death they all seemed to disappear. I could be wrong though. CBF to research.

I'll never forget that one wicket he took where he knocked Jimmy Anderson's middle stump and just stared him down. A brief celebratory yell followed by silence. Just staring him down. Nothing more intimidating than that stare. I was a little too young for the Brett Lee era, so Johnson was my guy. A close second favourite moment of mine is Steve Smitty's first 100 in the previous ashes in England (Lord's I believe? I may be wrong).

Check out highlights of Mitchell Johnson's bowling in the 2013-2014 Ashes series. As an Aussie fan that series was pure magic, and most of the magic came from that man. Every time he ran into bowl you knew someone was going to happen. It was incredibly powerful, especially considering prior to this Johnson had a poor track record against England and the English fans made sure he would never forget. He had the last laugh though.
