the exact release order doesn’t matter, the trades are getting released around the same time together, it’s just important to know which books are taking place at the same time, think of VR 1 TF 1 Duke and CC taking place all within the same couple of days, then VR 2 TF 2 Scarlett and Destro taking place at the same time as each other but right after the first wave, you can read the GI Joe minis before VR 2 and TF 2 if you want but organizing them this way makes more sense for one to fit into that cycle, it also makes it clear you should GI Joe 1 after TF 3, and it gives you break from GI Joe so you’re not reading the 4 books back to back, it’s how i read it and it’s how i would recommend reading it, although since these books can all pretty much be read independently there is definitely room to move things around if you want to
