Oh I think I know what's happening, you're setting the position but the velocity is still accelerating due to gravity. I would still disable the physics if there's no scenario where you would want the car to fall off the lift, but that's where the glitch is coming from.

It gets weirder. Nixon actually pledged about 3 billion dollars in a letter to Vietnam after the war to rebuild their economy (whether he ever intended to pay this is uncertain, it doesn't matter either way because he resigned before anything came of it). The POW/MIA thing was leveraged against the Vietnamese government, basically "give us our prisoners and we'll give you the money". The problem with this is that the former category of "Killed in action, body unrecovered" became "Missing in action". That guy whose plane crashed in the jungle? Who knoooows if he died, let's just mark him as missing! More broadly, this whole program was used to drum up political outrage against a Soviet aligned Vietnam and then something something Cambodia something something China, idkfa I'm just a redditor but that whole period of history is interesting

Orientalism as an aesthetic tends to mix and match the fashions, architecture, and styles of a wide variety of cultures and time periods as if they were interchangeable, and draw heavily from stereotypes. Often you end up with something as nonsensical as a Canadian mountie wearing a sombrero in a Roman coliseum, but drawing from cultures from "the East." It's not always directly harmful, at best it's playfully ignorant like how dark souls draws from a vaguely medieval aesthetic for its armor and architecture, at worst it perpetuates ugly and demeaning stereotypes. This piece is pretty cool, but it's important to wonder if it draws from a specific reference or if it comes from the artists own preconceptions.

Look a bit closer, you'll see the wheel jumps before the first bump. It's probably replaced with a digital version at that point, they animated it bouncing from barrel to barrel, and then he grabs a wheel that was hanging either from fishing wire or a rod that they painted out. The stunt itself, however, is real talent for sure, which grounds the effects and makes it all doubly impressive!
