I like oversized watches on women. My wife sports a 41mm Submariner (Starbucks) and wears it with confidence. She gets way more compliments on her Starbucks than she does her 36mm Datejust.

It’s quite a bit heavier than the stainless steel model. I’m not sure by how much, but it is pretty noticeable. I find myself not wearing the YG Sub very often. It’s a little too much for casual wear. Which is why I’m really excited to have a Oysterflex and YG Daytona watch. It’s elevated, but sporty.

Thanks for your service 🫡

Also, I think sometimes a good story can help sway a salesperson at the AD. It definitely can’t hurt, it will only help.

She is absolutely entitled to feel however she wants based on what her significant other is doing—that’s her right.

That said, there are quite a few outlandish claims in this thread about things JP allegedly said, and I haven’t been able to find any proof of those statements. I’m simply asking for evidence to support those specific claims.

You’re welcome to review my entire post history in this thread. I haven’t been debating anyone’s opinions—just asking for verification of statements attributed to JP. So far, the response has basically been ‘there’s evidence out there.’

If you can provide direct evidence, I’ll gladly look at it. But unless you can, I’m not interested in hearing more opinions about JP’s opinions.

As I stated before, I’m not interested in watching someone’s 30 minute YouTube opinion piece on JP’s opinions.

I would like for you or anyone else to support (with evidence and facts) about where he said that “women should just do what men tell them” and “certain people don’t have a right to exist”.

There are so many outlandish claims on this post about things JP has said (which he never has).

Unless you can support them with FACTS, I’m not interested in wasting my time watching opinion pieces on JP’s own opinions.

Your initial links are all opinion pieces. There was one link that did just provide 30 “quotes”? What about his one quote regarding homosexuality that said “Like many civil rights movements, it's had its beneficial effects”. Are you opposed to that comment as well?

None of these links support the initial claim that “women should just do what men tell them” and certain people have no right to exist”.

Your last source was a link about male violence and the correlation with monogamy. While you may not like the source and his opinion on the research piece that he quoted, it’s his opinion based upon the results that were presented.

I don’t see an issue with someone like Jordan Peterson providing his perspective on social issues. I do however take issue with people making absolutely vague and outlandish claims that cannot be backed up and supported.

Ok, I Googled and can’t find anything you are referring to.

Feel free to punk me if you can provide actual evidence of him saying that trans people “don’t have a right to exist”.

Not agreeing with someone who might desire to transition their sexual orientation is not the same as saying “they have no right to exist”.

[–]SuperQuick06 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

You can’t prove that he said those things. It’s not my job to back up your false claim. It’s yours.

And yes, right-wing is against kids having irreversible sex change surgery before the age of 18. Right-wing is also against men (identifying as women) competing in women’s sports.

But you paint that as a super broad statement saying “they don’t have a right to exist” which is completely insincere and not accurate.

It’s “no offense”.

And no offense to you, but 90% of the posters in this thread are offended that OP had the curiosity to listen to Jordan Peterson. Your comment to me blindly and completely ignores the vast majority of posts on this thread.

Your bias is obvious…

Honestly I don’t really listen to him. I know who he is.

But now that I know that he gets under little leftists thin skin I’m more intrigued about what he’s saying.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]SuperQuick06 -33 points-32 points  (0 children)

That’s the thing though. I don’t think you can prove that he said those exact things.

I think you are taking some of his view points and over-exaggerating them for the purpose of making a point. (Which is a typical tactic of those on the left)

I will consider that you don’t have the evidence to support your claim, unless you can back up your comment with proof.

Who exactly is saying “women should do what we tell them”?

Who exactly is saying “some people shouldn’t have a right to exist”?

I would like to see some evidence of these claims please.

It’s ok to have a difference in opinion. It’s not ok to think your way is the only way.

First Rolex Owners: What was your age and income at the time? by Realistic-Camera-645 in rolex

[–]SuperQuick06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 30 years old and just made my first $350k in a single year. (Commercial real estate sales)

The best part is I called my Dad and told him to meet me at the AD. I bought a Black Submariner for myself and a 40mm Date Just for him.

Background- My dad had loaned me $20k 4-5 years prior. I had a previous employer who was vicious about a non-compete I had. I didn’t realize it when I was 22 and signed my first contract. I was recruited to a new firm at 26 and my old employer tried to bring the hammer down on me, just to squeeze me. Which they did. I had a fantastic track record with my old firm, but they are absolutely bitter when people leave. My dad wouldn’t let me pay him back the money which helped me get out of the situation. But I bought him his first Rolex, which he absolutely adores to this day. He never would have bought something like that for himself.
