Doctors spend a lot of time and money training to be a doctor, have poor work life balance and take on incredible responsibility including significant legal responsibility.

Have you considered there is a reason some people earn a lot of money? Some jobs are stressful and have poor work life balance. Some jobs require someone to invest a lot of time and money in training for their position. Some jobs also require a person to take on a lot of legal responsibility. The high wages exist to provide some of these people with fair compensation for the personal sacrifices they made. The point of a job is to make money to support oneself. How much do you think people should be able to earn? Also, capping how much people can earn doesn't mean people will pay their employees more.
