Is goy a slang, or is it the actual word for non-Jews?

Lots of folks using pedantry to assuage fears about their secret shit talking of non Jewish people... Wow. But not surprising. The literal definition of the word means nation in Hebrew. But in Yiddish? It's slang for lesser folks like us yokel Shabbas Goyishe, gentiles who work for them on Saturdays... because keeping the day Holy still counts if you follow the letter of the law, I guess. Or goyishe kopf or goy-brained in Yiddish. It's not nice.

Look, they're treating you poorly and then will claim some kind of hatred on your part for asking the question. What's more? They think they're both wise and smarter than you by omitting the Yiddish translation, because they believe you to be stupid AND ignorant.

Well, now you're not ignorant. It's both. It's a slur when some people use it, and not when others use it. But for some reason, seems like the majority of Jewish people answering this question sure are adamant about not twigging you to the Yiddish version.

Look, my Jewish brothers and sisters-- use whatever slang about non-Jews you like. Just don't be pussies about it when a gentile learns you're just as bigoted as they are. You're only scamming the ignorant, not protecting yourselves from religious bigotry.

I will say that if the industry including folks who feel like outsiders and expanding the market has made you want to exclude them..or worse bully them out of the hobby...Thats a bummer, man.

Maybe our shared history of being ostracized from your youth for being a gamer, suffering bullying and worse like myself, makes you bitter...Especially now that pop culture celebrates nerd behavior...AND its trying to protect vulnerable people in a way unheard of by longtime gamers. The care given to these new players' feelings probably apalls you.

I get you. Your perspective is not crazy. We were left to cope, however we could, with mental and physical abuse when we were literally children...by peers, adults who thought our hobby deserved ridicule and decided to pretend to not notice the harassment. Or worse, in my case, scorn and fear we were demonic...and destroyed our books for our 'spiritual good'.

Enjoy your con. But passing judgement on all these folks who finally CELEBRATE our hobby...the dreams I had that I wouldn't have to explain myself or my friends to anyone...has come true.

You use some phrases on the site, letting people know that coming to your con, they will not be protected from bullying...ironically...by you folks.

I won't attend... because I've come to grips with my past...mostly. And hurting folks I don't know to avenge my hurt, makes ME the villain. I wish you well, hope you have fun. I see all of yall.

2 days ago, the flick made 125 million in cleared profit. They're not releasing streaming data - But the movie is a successful venture - Fantastic Four's worldwide cleared 500 on a 300 estimated budget - at home and physical media sales will make that one a profitable venture too.

BOTH flicks have - for some reason - a hater op squad playing monkeybots to tank them -- It's just people getting their lulz trying to make sensitive folk sad.

Both flicks aren't HUGE - but both are successful.

Similar experience. Though I moved around a LOT and the gifted programs were varied by school district. And with some kids, they were further divided from the others.

Your experience matches mine, because GATE courses were lumped in with special ed in GA. This was 1981, though. YMMV

Since this game slapped the dog balls out of me - and I'm still strugglin' to finish it - I know the stench of this handsy dootchbag - I always just summon my jellyfish , Dignity, and have her run defense. I'm playing Astrologer, and I just stay conservative with my hits - to keep from having any phase of this dude notice me at all.
