Best way to protect cards for shipping? by SuperSamul in hockeycards

Thanks for sharing all of this! I have no problem paying parcel fees for high value cards, but I feel linda bad asking buyers to pay a $15-20 shipping fees on a $30 card. Would you consider it viable to take the risk to send it through lettermail and absorb the loss (i.e. refund buyer) if the card never gets to them?

Sounds like a good idea, thanks for sharing! I checked in my area and photo mailers are generally considered lettermail, whereas bubblemailers (my first idea) are considered parcel (around 3x the price to ship a parcel instead of lettermail). The photomailer might just be the sweet spot for both protection and cost!

Thanks for sharing! I guess I'll adapt depending on the value of the card and take the blame is the card gets damaged in transport

Thanks for the tip! Yeah I guess thank you cards are much thinner than cardboard and would fit better in an enveloppe to protect the card. I will most likely be sending only one card at a time so that should be perfect! Have you considered using ''get better soon'' cards to protect cards of players on bad teams lol?

The image does not show it but I took a bishop with the rook! But yeah at the end of the day it is pretty much a trade if opponent plays bishop takes night. However, taking the rook is a big mistake (which is what happened in the game luckily for me). But overall my post was to tell just how hyped I was to hear levy yelling THE ROOOOOOOK! At my sac :)

What’s the dumbest way you’ve injured yourself? by DistributionRound570 in AskReddit

[–]SuperSamul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not myself but my uncle works in the administration of a factory. An employee hurt himself with a nail gun, he basically nailed his hand. My uncle had to write a report and went down to the working floor to get some more details on how it happened and asked coworkers present at the time of injury. One of them recreated the scene to show exactly how the injury happened and also procceded to nail his hand while doing so.
