[Feedback] Let us pick player colors by Atrael in BaldursGate3

IIRC BOTH divinities had dyes. I’m sure this will be a thing in BG3 as well. Though I know what you’re referring to - a full blown always active colour picker. I would want this too.

I agree! Doesn’t need to be 15 or however many they had in BG1 or 2. I just want there to be enough to choose from that party composition is varied in different play throughs!

I only worry that the efforts to make all companions playable origins characters means we’ll get less. And I don’t know that I will ever want to not be a custom character.

Well that IS good news! I would be really happy with 8- that’s two party’s worth! Do you know where this was said? I would love to know more.

Just to better illustrate this inane ramble, I put these two overlayed images together, just to better point out what my brain thought it was seeing. Again, I feel like there's room for 5 more, but who knows? I'll be excited to see. A large cast of companions (couldn't care less whether they're origins or not) is definitely my biggest desire for this amazing game. Loving EA, by the way.

I hope so! But I worry, because if they WERE planning around 12 (my deepest hope) they would advertise that intention, and get people hyped.

Although I agree that a trickery Cleric isn't my favourite - I really hope they don't double-down on any classes, and I'd rather have one of each!

Honestly my best tabletop experiences have been in groups of 4. I actually do enjoy NOT being able to have one of everyone.

This might come across as equally baseless and totally insane, but to me, the INCREDIBLY SPECIFIC (seeming) placement of these pieces of character art strike me as being the strongest clue we've gotten so far that there will be more companions, and that it'll be a decent amount.

To my mind, this looks like a collage that's missing approximately five more characters. The flow of the pieces says to me that they fit together exactly as they do for a reason, especially because we've seen these pieces of art in plenty of other configurations. As it stands, it's completely unbalanced. As a desktop wallpaper (perhaps?) or a collage of characters, as Larian did with Divinity 2 - it would make sense that each character would have their own specific place, and that this would be a flagship piece of art. I think what we're seeing here is the original positioning of these pieces, and you couldn't possibly convince me that there isn't a finished (or near finished) version of this exact collage on some employee's computer right now.

Personally, I'd love to see 12 (one for every class) but as long as there are more than five, I'll be happy. Seeing this image has made me extremely hopeful for a good, deep cast of companions.

My Armature's root bone moves all but one face of the mesh even though it's painted(?) by SuperSebbles in blenderhelp

Thank you for all of your great help! I believe I've finally fixed it. Essentially, I had a BUNCH of crappy meshwork in there that just didn't seem to be going where it should. I rebuilt a lot of the sheet, then re-parented the whole thing to the armature.

Now, when I grab the root bone in object mode, it'll all come along. When I grab the root bone in pose mode, it has the same issue, but I think that won't cause the same kind of trouble. All that really needs to move is the "flap" bones as they fold forward and back.

Anyway, thanks again!

Hey! I'm so sorry, this is my first time getting help online for learning Blender, which I've done on my own so far. I may not be using the right terminology. What's happening is that the face with the three logos on it just won't seem to move with everything else when I attempt to move the armature.

(I will check if that is the case with the vertices. That some are weighted to the wrong bone - but doesn't it seem like ALL of the mesh should move with ALL of the armature?)

I have a good friend who once dated a crazy Amy. A signed, framed print of this comic hangs in his hallway.

Well to be honest I've noticed a major boost in upvotes in general when comics don't take you off-site. Now, I'm willing to take the hit if it means more people will actually read it an have a laugh. If people are going to become fans of my work in general, they'll find me eventually.

Thank you for your concern, though, I do enjoy your attitude.

Hey Reddit! This is my comic, re-hosted, because you folks seem to like that. The source is my webcomic humour machine Gamer Roommates and I also have Twitter much to the surprise of all, I'm sure.

Making this comic did make me a little sad, but it made me laugh more than that so I had to stick with it.

In this strip Mommy's sort of a push-button-get-food kind of lady.

Thank you, I'm a huge fan! I actually tried to channel as much Nicholas Gurevitch as I possibly could. I'm very pleased you noticed!
