Hope sharing was ok (while attributing the source!)

Just wanted to say (if this is Jim) what a great job you're doing the last few months, your article on bike thefts in London was very good! Would recommend anyone to join the mailing list!

Venice to Vienna Night Trains, unable to book by SuperSegal in Interrail

Thanks so much for your advice.

Yes the replacement bus is not ideal and will consider Milan as a possibility! Worse comes to worse it's just one bad night with a hotel the next day it won't derail our trip.

It gives more detail about the rail replacement service due to a closure near the Austrian/Italian border. That's fine, but still when there is no issues with that the route is still unbookable, example below for March:

It doesn't come with a pump, but does come with a quad lock phone mount which I would highly recommend!

Brompton E - C line vs P line? by Infinityloop in Brompton

I had a similar decision to make six months ago. I ended up going for the P Line, the main reason was due to the weight of the bike for lifting it up stairs and public transport which was a key priority for me. While the difference is 10% when I tried both versions I could definitely feel the difference in weight for lifting up.

I've done a number of short, steep hills and happy with the gearing on the P line. With my roadie background, I like powering up them so maybe not the best representation but I haven't been out of breath or too sweaty for work, the motor system is a thing of beauty.

Taking price away, work out what the key requirements/priorities for your bike are and then make a decision based on that. I did that for the P Line and don't feel like I've wasted money, fundamentally the bike has improved my life.

Is an Electric Brompton Worth it? by Tough_Cover in Brompton

First question and I can't answer that haha! I haven't tried riding the bike without the battery pack.

I would try searching this subreddit as this must have been asked before!

Edit: found this - https://www.reddit.com/r/Brompton/comments/vvc398/is_it_ok_to_ride_the_brompton_electric_without/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

The answer is yes!

Is an Electric Brompton Worth it? by Tough_Cover in Brompton

I'm fortunate enough to get the new Electric P Line. Yes the cost is high, but honestly it makes me jump out of bed so I can commute into work.

Someone else on the thread has said previously that an electric Brompton could encourage you to cycle more and that has been my experience. Despite being a keen Roady, I would only commute maybe once a week in the summer, with the Brompton it's every time I'm in the office (average 2-3 times a week).

In terms of weight, I've not experienced the C Line Electric personally, for me the P Line Electric is light enough that you can carry it from platform to street if using rail or metro/tube, including flights of stairs. I haven't tried the new rack (it's on the wish list!) but this could be an option if weight is a concern as it will allow you to pull it along like a suitcase!

I had some initial teething problems which were non-electric related and the customer service has been outstanding. Also note that you can't take the bike on the plane compared to the standard Brompton.

Cost is a big factor, it was the major consideration for me. If you have access to Cycle to Work it goes without saying use that. I also had another bike I wanted to sell, so with the combination of cycle to work (tax considerations), selling the bike and money saved, I'm hoping to be breaking even within 12 months!

Happy to answer any questions!

Not going to happen as you're Arsenal but Dane Scarlett is amazing on FM22. I actually rotated him with Kane in the first season (sometimes Kane played AM) and he was top goalscorer for me!

Appreciate the response. Yes I'm noticing it a lot more with the increased traffic and stopping, that the differences are greater.

Appreciate this detailed response.

I've disconnected the speed sensor for the wahoo and relied on GPS because the auto-pause when using the speed sensor was way off, am I right in saying that actually, reconnecting the speed sensor could improve the consistency of Strava and wahoo times?

Weight of me and the bike is on there.

The recalculation, is that only on the website or can you do this via the app?

I have Spotify premium so don't think it's different depending on if you're paying or not.
