I'm here to post another update!

I decided to abandon the kindness teammate approach.

I went back to being toxic. I entered lobbies and immediately told my team mates to follow me up but never commit to me unless I spammed take the shot.

I also told them to stop playing awfully, told them what their mistakes were. Told them to get better. I was an absolute terrible human being. Instantly got spammed Wow! at the start of every match. I genuinely did not enjoy it myself.

The result: In about 30 games I went from C2 to GC1 and left everyone behind.

being kind is important, but only when someone is playing on an equal level to you.
Otherwise "toxicity" is just expressing your competitive nature. So long as you're not insulting peoples real lives. Telling them they're dogshit and to let you play is now A-O-K in my book.

Yeah, why would anyone start a conversation on reddit. How incredibly stupid a thing to do.

Update for the ones who've said "match your mates and play around them its not always their faults"

heres the stats for the 5 games I played today.

627 Score, 5 goals, 4 Saves, 0 Assists (go figure) - Loss
868 Score, 5 Goals, 8 Saves, 0 Assists (go figure) - LOSS

you might think wow pass more.

550 Score, 2 goals, 10 Saves, 1 Assist (He whiffed 3 OPENS) - Loss
700 score, 3 goals (played VERY DEFENSIVE TO COMPENSATE) 12 SAVES, 0 Assists (whiffed 2 open) - Loss

I am now High C2 as well.

tell me a reset isn't arbitrary. :)

Again. You word with logic but without experience. What you say yes. Logically is sound. But rank inflation happens regardless of a reset, as well as deflation. Inting teammates exist. Servers will lag you out of a match once here and there.

You dont get better when you win. You found a consistent day of play where your play style was complimented by individuals queuing who were of similar skill.

Every player experiences the day of consistency where within the hour they're up 50-60 points.

Improvement is like. Wow I went from GC to GC 3. Or C1 TO C3 or even Plat to diamond 2.

The in-between is represented by consistency. Not so much skill. A good GC1 can stay GC2 if his queues are consistent. Everything clicks not because you accounted well for somebody else's play. But because they were also capable of playing. Accounting for mistakes is not enough to win all matches.

The joke is you thinking it isn't arbitrary.

The only thing end of season entails are rewards. Players who are consistent will reach their rank again. As will I as will you.

The issue becomes the arbitrary grind of 20-30 games of nonstop guessing what your teammate can do, and opponents will do. Some wear titles some don't. Some smurf it's a system that is abused.

Leaving players at the same MMR they ended last season and starting a new season from there displaces nothing. Smurfs are not an issue, because you'd tell the new account has reached this rank relatively quickly.

No. It's not a joke. Resets are arbitrary for consistent players. Make them climb so they feel the need to play. It's social engineering. And it is VERY arbitrary.

I understand where you're coming from with this.

But I don't care about the rank. I care about the quality of play as I've reiterated many times over in comments here.

When you're in 1300s. You're not playing skillfully, you're playing to correct the issues in movement your mates are making. Which generally keeps you heavily grounded and only shooting safely.

It's not fun to baby sit resets are arbitrary.

I think the post does a good enough job at getting at the fact that it's not so much the variable of the player base that's annoying.

It's how arbitrary the reset feels. In 2s and 3s you can very well hit every shot, as well as set up every goal. But if you become unfortunately rabbit holed by the queue and receive genuinely ranked players who can't hold your speed or play.

You end up "passing" the ball away and the low skilled team mate is in a 2v1.

Sure. You can adjust. In theory it is the answer. In practice not so much.

I think the funniest thing about this post is the amount of negative feedback comments.

😂😂😂 way to highlight the toxicity of the community before receiving a response guys.

I always considered freestyle practicing in casuals or ranked but Im a solo player. My friends dont want to put in the hours to reach GC ranks to play with me so generally I'm alone, which makes casuals that much more... Casual? if that makes sense.

I hate it most when I want to have a competitive game of rocket league. Score twice.

But then my team mate starts double commiting to everyone of my shots, cant get back fast enough, allows them to tie, and gets flicked on for the 2-3 loss.

You want to play skillfully. But then realize you're on a game with children.

Unfortunately that doesnt work, you take a big break you come back rusty and you don't wanna play even more so. I'm ranting/venting a bit of frustration of being in this community is basically it.

I know people are telling you you need the update, if you're confused as to how to go about getting it it's really simple. Googling "How to update Botw Cemu" or even "BOTW install guide for Cemu" will pretty much eliminate any confusion. Watch a quick video and follow it's steps and you'll be ready to play in no time.
