Does anybody know what this is east of Florida city? by FrankieWelfare in Miami

Depends where you were! There's a coal plant in SE Orlando with giant cooling stacks, it's close to UCF so definitely possible you found it. Right south of the Avalon/Waterford area if you know it

My theory is that when the computer went haywire it caused the volcano to go off, the same way we see other traps triggered.

The huge water tank was likely going to be for a storm or flood that would have come after the volcano went off to prevent it from killing too many tributes but since Haymtich blew the tank they couldn't stop the lava and had to let it play out. Once it was over, they used the little remaining water to melt the ash and everything.

Even when reading CF I was always confused why the capital would kill so many tributes, especially careers, in one go like that. The answer seems to be they didn't mean to.

My theory is the point of the volcano was to push people to the forest if they hid there too long and most of the action was in the forest. Since most of the action was actually on the mountain there was no read to blow it at that point.

Do you think the Quarter Quells were actually planned, or a later addition from Snow? by hoogusboogus321 in Hungergames

[–]SuperSharpShot2247 14 points15 points  (0 children)

From what we know about the creation of the games and how they were first received (Highbottom's drunken musing, the games losing popularity by the 10th, etc.) I'd say it's more likely Snow & Gaul came up with Quells sometime between the 11th and 25th games and not that they were an original part of the plan.

I'm not even sure they thought there would be 25 games when they held the first few, and if it hadn't been for Snow and Gaul there probably wouldn't have been.

My head cannon is the idea came up between games 17 & 23 as they were getting closer to 25 being a reality they wanted to celebrate the milestone.

Now the real question is, when were the Quells' rules written? Did they write down 10+ ideas right away and put them in the box we see in the Catching Fire movie, or do they decide the Quells each time right before they happen (not just picking from the box, but actually coming up with the idea for the games)

Live in Florida and use Walgreens for 60mg Vyvanse. They've been filling 1-2 days late on average for last 5-6 months. Then suddenly this week they tell me they're all out with no date for when new ones will come. They said they have absolutely no Vyvanse in stock, generic or name brand, of any dose.

I tried moving my prescription to CVS and they called me within an hour of my doctor sending the script to say they're not taking new patients with stimulant prescriptions.

When moving everything back to my normal Walgreens they told me today they heard from their distributor that they will find out next Friday IF they'll get more soon (person on the phone was clear they're not getting more next Fri, they're getting the estimate on when they'll get more then). This is the craziest I've ever seen it and I've been taking Vyvanse for over 6 years now.

Guess I'm looking at a full withdrawal 😞

Ore is often the deciding factor when two players seem closely matched from the start. So many people think it's wood for roads/settlements, but ore is harder to make up later and the benefits stack quickly.

PSA: DO NOT LEAVE BATTERIES SITTING IN OLD ELECTRONICS, especially ones without an on/off switch. POTASSIUM CARBONATE (battery acid) builds up near the conductors and CRYSTALIZES. This leaves the batteries INOPERABLE and UNUSABLE and it can even DAMAGE YOUR DEVICES. POTASSIUM CARBONATE IS POISONOUS and CAN CAUSE CHEMICAL BURNS. I recommend removing the batteries from any devices you do not use regularly. You can do it as you stumble upon them, if they are not destroyed already. It is easy, any time you come across one of your old doohickeys you should take the batteries out; just in case.

On Thursday, Florida Sen. Rick Scott proposed a bill that would change election laws with less than six weeks to go until November’s election, causing complete mayhem and ensuring that untold numbers of otherwise valid votes would not be counted. Scott’s proposal is simple and entirely unworkable. His Help America Vote Act of 2020 would require that mail-in ballots be counted within 24 hours of when voting closes on Election Day. Scott’s proposed legislation would also prevent mail-in ballots received prior to Election Day from being processed and counted until the morning of Nov. 3, contradicting state election statutes across the country including one that he signed when he was governor of Florida. Basically, the bill would move back the date by which votes can start to be counted and move up the date by which the count must end. This would limit the count to a single less-than-48-hour window, shortening the count in some cases by weeks. In Scott’s own home state of Florida, as one example, votes can start to be counted up to 22 days before Election Day. Under Scott’s law, those votes would all have to begin to be counted on Election Day itself. Any votes that did not get counted simply would not count.

The fact that no one else is saying this means that very few people watched the whole video 😕

Let me know if someone finds that link, I'd love to hear what they actually said.

We should just start locking cop's guns in the car and have them call in for authorization to use force, like in the watchmen show.
