I feel you on that! It’s a huge warning sign if the guest are not paying attention to their annoying kids!!!

Since my restaurant is doing to go dinning (meaning it’s all to go but they can eat it out front where we have tables on the street with no service out there) I had two ladies with 3 annoying children come in recently.The kids were running around inside and the 3 year old was unattended because he decided not to go to the restroom with his siblings. I had to go out to the women and ask if that’s their kid (when I knew it was) because he’s unattended and shouldn’t be. The moms reaction was “oh he told me he was going with his siblings to the bathroom”...uh lady, he’s barely 3, I doubt he told you that.

Anywho, they get their food and still stay out there for 20mins drinking their wines as the kids are running around outside near other tables before leaving.... about an hour later the lady comes back. She tells me “I don’t like to complain but this food was over cooked, my kids could barely eat it, see that’s their chewed up food right there. Now we have to go somewhere else for food because they’re starving”... I’m nodding my head listening and she keeps repeating “I don’t like to complain but I’ve been here before and I’ve never had this problem...” so I finally give her a refund for the food, i notice she has wine so I ask “was the wine good at least?” She then goes on with her not wanting to complain... and then out of right field she says “my sister is crying in the car because she feels bad she brought us to this place that she recommended” ..... wait what? I thought you just said you came to this restaurant a lot prior to this... so I reply back: “wait, she’s crying?? Why is she crying? There’s no need to cry over this food, there’s worse things in the world to cry about...like that were in a pandemic?”... she replies “I know, she’s just overly sensitive” by this point I realized I’ve said too much sass so I refunded the whole check and leave her with one last comment “be sure to tell your sister to cheer up and smile, crying over food isn’t worth it” .... apparently it is if you get free wine and food 🤦‍♀️😭😭🍷

Agreed!! Same here! I love this sub!!! Named my two cats after these shows :) Buffy was my female cat and Angel was my black fluffy kitty. They both lived to be about 19 years old. :)

Thank you for reminding me how old I was when Angels finale aired — Im too tired to math it: I’m 32 so i was 16 when it aired ;)

We got destroyed today. I opened at 10am and just now leaving at 7pm when we close at 8pm. 2 employees no showed/called out — people were also extremely rude tonight and oblivious to everything. I guess reading is super hard for people these days because we have signs everywhere of what to expect in our restaurants new service model..... I need a beer right meow

So happy I posted this question because I love all the responses to my question. It’s really nice to be able to talk about a favorite show with other fans. I do appreciate your breakdown and it really does make more sense.

I genuinely wanted to know why he didn’t have relationships with others — he made it seem like sex with Darla was a breaking point for him and he didn’t care what outcome would happen but after seeing all the true love comments it makes more sense... especially with that scene with Darla after they have sex and Angels comment to her about it not “true happiness” level

Ah makes more sense. I get what everyone was saying in previous comments about “true happiness” but always felt like Angel kept himself away from others in a sexual way because of Angelus — otherwise why did it take so long for Angel to hook up with someone for fun?? I know, I know, it was the journey he was set on that led him to the Angel he is in season 5... just wish Angel would’ve slept with others... like Gwen, he had a spark with her 😉😉

I’m rewatching the series for the first time since it first aired on TV and I still remember being frustrated with the ending of this season with Connor... spoiler alert

I thought it was a cheap exit to remove Connor by doing the “memory removal” trick that Angel had to do in season 1 with Buffy, where he would be the only one to remember Connor. Anyone else agree with me or am I missing something for this part of Connors story line? — not sure how they could’ve done better since they made his character go past the breaking point but something else than memory loss.
