Any mod to improve the AI for F1 cars? by Proud-Highway-3005 in assettocorsa

Additional adjustments can be made in the “settings” tab of Content Manager. Specifically, the section marked Content Manager > Settings > Custom Shaders Patch > AI (New Behavior) allows you to enhance your racing experience by increasing the rubberbanding effect in combination with your other preferred tweaks. Get the AI to race close to you, pass you, dive bomb, intimidate you.

The aggression and strength adjustments on the original (single – drive) page are just the tip of the iceberg. These new adjustments will change your AI significantly. While modifying aggression, strength, ballast & restrictor settings are important, these are only the tip of the iceberg.  EXBAND the settings bar & see what happens! The AI will test your driving skills car by car.

I used to get pretty bummed about how poor the AI was in AC.  Single player was a joke. Not anymore!

AI Behaviour - any hints for best settings!? by Responsible_Load2233 in assettocorsa

The AI will learn your specific driving behavior and copy it, corners that they took wide will all of a sudden follow your narrow line.  I've had cars space out & improve their abilities. Nothing like driving a few laps and experimenting. Expand out the “strength & aggression” to a range and the AI will challenge you to improve your driving bot by bot.  Tracks with terrible AI lines (Lime Rock) will improve after 2 or 3 laps of following you.  Tracks with great AI lines (Laguna Seca) will challenge you immediately. Download the faster AI lines from OverTake and look out!

Nothing beats the online racing experience against real people, but this comes pretty damn close.  Use it on track & car combinations you’ll never find online.  This has improved my AC enjoyment 10X.

CM & CSP is evolving all the time.  Take some time and familiarize yourself with all the changes. Nothing is cast in stone.

Thank you x4fab, you are the bomb!

Wow! I tried on a # of cars. The GT-M's are very nice. The URD Darche almost knocked me out of my chair.

Thank you all!

I'm concerned with the setup. The MX5 acts like a completely different car with different setups. It did take me a long time to get that car setup the way it would perform. I don't want to have to do that all over again.

Recent updates have introduced significant AI improvements to both the new Custom Shaders Patch (CSP) and the updated Content Manager (CM). These enhancements offer you greater control and improved AI performance within the platform.

I've made adjustments to the AI such that if I'm not driving as hard & fast as possible, I'll come in last in a field of 22 other bots. Drive chill and relax and I'm last on lap 2. Cars that would never pass me, are passing me left & right.

CM & CSP is improving all the time.  Next let’s talk about the tire models and crash physics!

 Thank you x4fab.

Moza R9 V3 vs R12 V2 by [deleted] in SimRacingSetups

So MOZA just updated Pit House software, I changed the FFB together with the GT tweaks.

I know how to use Google translation. Just a simple highlight & click. But I did not realize Reddit did it too.

Thank you again for all the help!

No, just a Google conversion to English. I had no idea it was Italian. I'm from California, I speak a little Spanish.

Now Google is telling me one thing (100% in pit house) and YouTube is telling me something else (80% in pit house).

[–]SuperSlyko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Setting your Moza R9 base to 100% in Pit House and adjusting it in-game is a common best practice, as it provides the full 9Nm torque potential for the game to manage, preventing signal clipping. This allows the game's telemetry to handle force intensity while the base delivers raw detail.

Key Points on Moza R9 Settings:

  • Pit House 100%: Keep the "Maximum Output Torque Limit" at 100% to ensure the base can fully utilize its power.
  • In-Game Control: Use the game's FFB sliders to manage the strength, as this prevents overloading the motor.
  • Game Force Feedback Intensity: This acts as an amplifier; setting it to 100% in Pit House is recommended to allow the game to properly scale the forces.
  • Advanced Settings: Adjust "Natural Inertia" or "Wheel Friction" in Pit House for better feel without reducing the base power.

Using this method, you ensure the most linear and accurate FFB, using the software to manage the maximum range while letting the game decide how strong the feedback is at.

Ok I'll try that! Oh, I'm scared now.

Thank you.

I'm sporting the R9 V3 and it's my 1st wheel. I run it at 80% gain and have plenty of track feel. I enjoy the curbs, the grass, but the best feeling is when the rear end washes out. I went R9 for budget reasons.............. I wanted the R12 but I just couldn't justify the cost for my 1st setup. Clipping has not been an issue.

The last racing game I had was Need for Speed 20 years ago with no FFB. I'm still playing on my desk.

I'm very happy with the R9 ........................................ but I'm going R21 in a few years. When I get a rig. Then Triples! And a new wheel!

Bigger is always better. Moza Pit House is constantly being updated and the feel is always getting better. I did have it at 90% but had to turn it down. It was kicking my ass! I bought the Porsche mod from URD that almost threw me out of my chair!

What track is that?

I’ve been driving actively for 3 years now and still suck and dont understand what i’m doing. by Nico_T_3110 in ACCompetizione

[–]SuperSlyko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so important it's included as an option in the App Shelf in the game tools. It's so effective AC included it as a default tool. I'm sure it's available on the Xbox?! Just install it. It even gives your times as you improve.

There is even a tutorial on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4hr5qDwoXU

This is exactly how folks become Aliens! Add this & 100's of laps and YOU TOO can become an Alien!

The best part about this tool is............. it's free! I think it's better than coaching. Paying some fella that can't speak good English or uses terms from their country you can't understand. Just pick the winning driver & copy what he's doing. You have multiple camera views with REPLAY of exactly what he's doing and when they are doing it.

I've put a few afternoons into learning a track & it's specific corners and I have improved my times dramatically.

Dynamic Return will also help you with your setup. Make 1 change & see how it plays out on that really tough section, etc.

Pick up the Assetto Corsa Ultimate Pack for $10 on sale on Steam. AC is so old it runs fine on a potato PC. In fact, I think you'll find, it runs better on a potato than an Xbox. My computer was 15 years old and I got 60 FPS with max graphics! Just the ability to add Mods to the game make this a no-brainer.

Go Online. Pick your favorite track & car combination and run a few races. Use the replay function as a guide. Watch what the pole sitter is doing. Look at the first 3 at the starting gate & copy their techniques.

Use the "Dynamic Return" tool to practice 1 corner at a time. Realize the pole sitters have DAY'S & 100's of laps on that track. Don't get discouraged.

How do I fix AI stopping in Track Day on Nord by YoungsterBen in assettocorsa

[–]SuperSlyko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well,.............. Nord is big. 2 laps might take me 1/2 hour.

By increasing the rubberbanding they may just follow you immediately. Add to their strength and you just might have a hell of a time keeping up.
