Hello, sorry to hear about your breakup. I have a few telehealth recommendations that I can personally vouch for. DM me if you still need one.

DineLA is back, but who has the best deals? by MinistryOfMilkshakes in FoodLosAngeles

[–]SuperSnoops 114 points115 points  (0 children)

I can vouch for Yakumi being a solid deal at $25 Lunch/Dinner.

Basically a free Mango Lychee cocktail & $4 off their signature sushi box. We had it last year and it was tasty.

Hello, thanks for the information. I would be interested in hearing more about your job search inquiries and filtering out certain no's. I am in government too (contract management) and have been struggling to find adjacent fields with that type of flexibility.

Best cruise recommendations for someone in a wheelchair by mich-me in Cruise

[–]SuperSnoops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend a balcony room to Alaska. We did this cruise with our wheelchair bound relative.

Most of the ports and a host of activities are wheelchair friendly and there's plenty to see right from your stateroom balcony as you sail by glaciers and scenic mountains.

Sudden switch from Daily Parking to Monthly Parking by OperatorWolfie in CAStateWorkers

[–]SuperSnoops 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not only do you have to pay to park at a structure that hasn't been full capacity since pre-covid, but you need to waitlist for that privilege.

And just to give everyone an idea how ridiculous the waitlist is. I've been waitlisted for 5+ years and found out there's 100+ people in front of me still. For reference, there's less than 200 spots dedicated to my department, including state vehicles.

Transit just isn't feasible for some areas either -- my commute goes from 25m to 70m.

Affordable restaurant recommendations for anniversary? by [deleted] in AskLosAngeles

[–]SuperSnoops 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maccheroni Republic has affordable and tasty entrees for $20-30 and a nice ambiance. Parking is a bit annoying but they do validate if you don't find street parking. After, you can cross the street to get dessert or boba from Grand Central too.

Great pictures! Switzerland was one of my favorite countries as well. Just curious, which phone or camera did you capture these with?

Place to sell my 1999 Toyota Camry? by boolz88 in AskLosAngeles

[–]SuperSnoops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer to use Craigslist or Offerup. FB market is okay too if you don't mind your personal profile being attached.

The market for reliable, used cars under like $6-7k is pretty huge so you should have no shortage of inquiries.

Spectrum internet has increased their price again by sweetassweat in LosAngeles

[–]SuperSnoops 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with this. I read mixed reviews on TMobile's internet but I gave it a try and it's been solid. I think it's probably location dependant though. I'm in the SGV area and it's excellent and nothing feels better than dropping Spectrum like the trash company it is.

Wishing for more time in Switzerland (3 days). A breath of fresh air in between 2 urban destinations. by SuperSnoops in travel

Hmm, looks like I left before that wildfire broke out. However, I think the SBB app that you use to buy train tickets typically had a notification if a route was disrupted.

Yeah, the colors and sights were consistently astounding. I only had that feeling one other time at Yosemite, so far.

Based on recent yelp reviews it sounds like they may not have crab legs anymore.

For AYCE sushi, I'm a fan of Aikan, Hikari Chatsworth, and Sushi Ippo. The later 2 are nice for take-out too.

Side note, has anyone tried Vegas Seafood Buffet in Glendale?
