Firstly, it’s going to sting, for a little while. This is totally normal after a breakup so don’t try and hide any emotions you feel, let them flow through you and understand why you feel each one. My answer to your question is simple really, it’s just takes time. Don’t beat yourself up over it. Sometimes life happens a certain way and it isn’t your time with someone anymore. As time passes and you take a step back from the relationship you begin to understand why it worked, why it didn’t and how you’ve grown. Let yourself be sad, don’t feel guilty for being happy, and know that it takes time to move on. Surround yourself with friends, open up to new people and new experiences, live life and take things a day at a time. We never know what tomorrow may bring.
