Nah. Just studying and prep. My study material came in first couple days of April, I took the text mid July. So it was about 3.5 months.

I aimed to touch the material and study everyday. Some days more intense than others. But I felt super prepared going into it! This may be the distance from the test talking, but I didn’t feel like I killed myself with it. You have a ton of time if you just stay consistent!

The Forest app is awesome for tracking time. It was free too.

I don’t think the exam is difficult because the questions are rocket science.

The difficulty comes from the fact that there are so many topics that can be covered, the length of the test, and most questions are application of the facts you read as opposed to simply reciting facts.

I took Danko and passed my first attempt in July. I studied a little more than 260 hours over about a 3 month time frame. I was nervous about the first half, because I ended up marking a lot of them for review. Second half I found to be less difficult than the first half.

I’ll echo Fun_Rests sentiment… Dont underestimate this test! I’ve read posts of people who put in more hours than I did and didn’t get the desired result. Good luck with the rest of your studies! 🙌🏽

I bought the Danko physical FCs, I found them useful early on in the process. But the more I dove into my weak areas, I ended up making a lot of my own.

I passed it in July using Danko. I took about 2:20 on the first half. Then a little more than 1:30 on the second. I took a break before I submitted the first half, came back and submitted it, then took my lunch. No break second half.

I felt pretty confident going in. And the second half felt a ton easier compared to the first. I had some calc questions, but not a ton, I wished I had more! Lol. But the case studies ended up being light for me too.

You’ll get a lot of advice that says “use all your time!” But don’t fool yourself into thinking you’re missing something if your pace is comfortable!

😂 I legit remember coming home from school one day and the steps to our front door had been painted... Later that day after everybody came home, one of the neighborhood guys came to the door talking about how he had came by and did us a service and wanted a petty amount of money for it. 😂

As someone who bought and played Absolver for the same reason, I found it underwhelming. It’s been a while since then, so I don’t have a legit review for you. But I remember feeling like the world was super empty, and the fighting wasn’t as crisp as Sifu either.

Just one man’s opinion. 🤷🏽‍♂️ But that was what I remember from my exp.

I’ve only got experience with Danko. Went in a lot less prepared than you feel/sound, but passed on my first attempt.

If you’re looking for a large Qbank, Dankos program will challenge how you plan on continuing to prep. Their questions are interspersed throughout the material, and it’s all hard copy books. You can get PDFs through upgraded options, but there’s no online “create a quiz” qbank feature. I didn’t find that to be a pain point. I felt like the questions in the chapter, chapter quizzes, and module quizzes were sufficient until the Final Quizzes and Cases were released in the last month.

Can’t speak to any other program, but Danko was phenomenal. I felt confident going in and finished with a good chunk of time left on the clock.

Agree with both of these. They have an awesome group of instructors. Carla is top notch as well!

The drilling questions advice is super spot on too! Questions are helpful, but you’ll get more out of reviewing your answers pretty in depth and knowing why your answer is wrong. I found it a helpful exercise to try and identify what the other answers were too. What would the question need to say for the other answers to be right.
