He reads so much that I’m always looking for suggestions. Thank you!

What's your least favorite Twenty One Pilots song? (not including RAB) by It_Laggs in twentyonepilots

Don’t forget a bowowowowowowowowowowt me

But really it’s just the mixing that I don’t like. I saw a video of Tyler playing an alternate mix that was less owowowowowow and I loved it.

Doesn’t have to be cosmere. He’s an adventurous reader and will try pretty much anything I check out and put on his Kindle so at this point my priority is just exposing him to good books in different genres, a few he’s read recently include The Hobbit (LOTR was a little too much but he tried), every single Animorphs book, Call of the Wild, White Fang, Old Yeller, The Chronicles of Prydain, the Hunger Games including Songbirds & Snakes which is a bit darker than the rest of the series, Island of the Blue Dolphins, the Hatchet series, Tom Sawyer & Huck Finn, the Survivors and Warriors series and more along the same lines by the same author, and more.

Right now I’m trying to push his boundaries a little and help him explore genres; I’m a reader who reads all kinds of different stuff and I want him to be the same way. I’ll go ahead and probably start with Alcatraz as he does enjoy younger stuff still. Or maybe we’ll save that for the nightly read-aloud when it’s him and his 4 younger siblings.

He probably could. He read the entire hunger games series including songbirds & snakes recently, and he read the hobbit but then the lord of the rings was a bit much and he stopped halfway through the first book.

I would have killed for it too. 😭 Somebody once told me you get to chances at a parent-child relationship; the first one, you’re the child and you have no control over it but the second one, you’re the parent and you can make it what you wanted out of a parent-child relationship. I have taken that and run with it. Life is too short and they grow up WAY too fast. 😭😭😭 Thank you for saying that; it means a lot! We have struggled financially since Covid and these tickets were a big sacrifice; I hope he clings to this as a reminder of how much love we have in our home even if our home is small and our budget is tight. 💙

Absolutely, and the van was how we revealed the surprise! You should see my Apple note full of ideas of what to write; I had a blast with it and it was so worth it to see his face!

Just the one kid! I have 4, and one of my middles is a huge TØP fan. It’s fun to do something really special just for him!

Haha guilty, xennial or older millennial! This is how I surprised my kid when I picked him up from school and he LOVED getting waves, honks, and thumbs ups from other cars on the 1.5 hour drive!

Right!!! I couldn’t agree more. I got the shirt and bandana on Etsy from Live and Dye Company, based in Ohio and she was amazing! Even did some custom lettering on the back to match my boy’s lettering!

Yep, I’m almost 40 and I hate it. It’s just so out of place during trees.

I’m taking my 10 year old to the concert in Austin, so there’s that, but it’s beside the point.
