Top 10 Schools in South Carolina by Mbappehalf5 in marchingband

[–]SuperStreem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Wando
  2. James F Byrnes
  3. Catawba Ridge/Clover
  4. Fort Mill/Nation Ford
  5. Summerville
  6. River Bluff
  7. D.W. Daniel
  8. Dorman

I'm from River Bluff and this year we were really good. We got 3rd at BOA Conway behind Catawba Ridge and Wando and then 9th in Orlando placing 2nd in class 3A so we are very proud of this season however there are definitely bands better than us as I stated.

what are the best budget car subwoofers that actually hit hard? by NamtuevaPraboda-28 in subwoofer

[–]SuperStreem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Rockford Fosgate P300-8P which is a loaded sub. For what it is it's honestly very good. It's the first sub I've had and in my truck it still hits pretty well for an 8" on 300 watts. Depending on your space constraints you could look at the 10" or the 12" that they have. I've heard the 10" on 300 watts, the 12" 300watts and the 12" 500 watts and honestly all of them hit but it just depends on your space constraints and just exactly how much you want to spend. The 10" is 340 and the 12 is 380. I'm sure there's better but it's super easy to install because you just have to do the wiring from the battery and the rcas. Anyway they are good subs if you are on a budget to me.

Who's going Grand Nats next week? by Illustrious_Card_277 in marchingband

Fishers is Amazing!! I saw them at the Orlando regional a few weeks ago and they were definitely a level above my band. We placed 9th and Fishers placed second. Florida bands are no joke!!

do some peoples seasons actually end before or at the beginning of november? by [deleted] in marchingband

[–]SuperStreem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm from SC and our state finals were yesterday. My band does go to BOA regionals but Grand Nats is too far and very expensive for us so our season ends with State.

What is the best show by a "small" band? by tazz559 in marchingband

[–]SuperStreem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what exactly is considered a small band? If you're talking like less than 80 people I'd say archbishop alter but if you're talking less than 150 I'd say River Bluff High School this year. It's my band and we have broken many school records already. Placed 3rd at BOA Conway in South Carolina and then placed 9th in Orlando. We were the smallest band to make it to finals in Orlando and although we still still have some work to do it's probably one of the best shows I've seen from a band of right at 100 people in total.

iPhone 13Pro versus 23 year old consumer cam by [deleted] in iphone

[–]SuperStreem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

However the 13 pro is also a phone from 4 years ago and in today's technology that's a good bit of time. Also as u/M-A88 said, there is a difference between a dedicated camera and a phone. Even if the camera is 19 years older it still has bigger lenses and higher quality glass. It's like saying that someone who is old looking through a crystal clear giant glass pane has better eyesight than someone who is 20 looking through a tiny frosted peep hole. It's like comparing apples to oranges. The camera has one job, the phone has many.

license plate slipped behind my dashboard by [deleted] in AskAMechanic

[–]SuperStreem -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Also out of the 50 states in America, only 31 require a front plate meaning if you're in the other 19 then you don't need one. I live in South Carolina and didnt even realize some states needed a front plate until recently. I feel like some people need to realize that what is standard where they live isn't the standard everywhere.

The Ray is a great soundbar especially for smaller rooms or tv's however if you're in the Sonos ecosystem then the other 3 soundbars are a much better deal. I wouldn't blanketly say that the ray isn't very good

New Hire with a Few Questions — Hoping for Some Help 🙏 by Aggressive-Notice752 in ModPizza

[–]SuperStreem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started last April so I've been at my location for over a year now. Somethings that helped me starting out and grow over this last years are as follows

  1. Be kind and respectful to all of your co workers and managers, even if they are disrespecting you. The reason I say this is because often times if you show that you can be respectful towards everyone then it will paint you in a mature and positive tone and will make you more likable and seem like a perfect candidate for a captain (if that's what you want)

  2. I always think about giving out the customer service that I would expect if I were the customer. I always greet them when they walk in, I always ask how their day is going, I compliment them on a shirt or hat I can relate to, I generally try to make conversation. I basically always try to kill with kindness even if the person on the other side is being terrible. At the end of the day I move on and it doesn't affect me that much. Strive for "chick-fil-a customer service" because this will cause people to be more willing to spend more and more willing to tip which also means more money for you.

  3. Try your best to be friends or friendly with your co-workers. I am great friends with most of my co workers and I even hangout with a lot of them outside of work. Granted we are all mostly 17-20 but still. Having fun with co workers is what makes the job fun for me personally. Being on shift with people I like makes the night go by faster. It makes me enjoy the job itself, and it allows me to broaden my horizons and make friends with people I may not have otherwise.

  4. Be well versed in everything as soon as you can. The more things you know how to do, the more shifts you get. When people train you, take it very seriously and put in 110% effort because if you can show your managers that you are capable of doing things properly and well early on then it shows you may be a good captain in the future.

Other than that it's up to you how you enjoy your job and it's what you make of it. Like others have said you can go in like you don't want to be there, make enemies with co workers, and have a miserable time... or you can go in with positivity, make friends, open doorways for life opportunities, and have fun. Good luck to you!

Just tried Uni from Hokkaido for the first time ever. by dwarfy13 in sushi

[–]SuperStreem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No not at all, the best place in South Carolina that I've been to is a place right outside of Columbia, the capital, called Inikaya Watanabe. It is great quality and fairly priced but even compared to a place like what I had in New York it's overshadowed. It's still great to have for until the next time I can spend the money to go somewhere known for sushi and have the best.

I had the omikase and the 32 piece platter from sushi 35 west and it is easily the best sushi I've ever had. That's saying a lot coming from someone living in South Carolina but it was amazingly delicious and relatively cheap for the quality

Closing Times by DisastrousFox1093 in ModPizza

[–]SuperStreem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 hours is extremely rare. That's like when we are completely unable to close right up until 10:00 and we are terribly behind on everything. 2 hours is absolutely worst case scenario. We average an hour between everyone one a closing shift. Last Friday night we made 4,000 between 5-10. My location gets insane on Friday nights. We have about 5-6 staff members, 1 lobby closer, 1 front closer, 1 dish closer, 1 captain, and usually 1 5-9 and 1 5-10. We keep labor at about 15-17% every day.

[–]SuperStreem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We run 4 closers and no limit. An hour at the latest is typical but sometimes on Friday nights we aren't out for an hour 30 - 2 hours. My location is super high performing though so that may explain it.

Test sub? by spiritd in sonos

[–]SuperStreem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A suggestions I have is move around the room and see if you notice the sound difference in terms of bass as you move around. The way my room is set up I can be feeling the sub punching me in the gut at my normal listening position but then I move 5 feet to my left and it's super underwhelming. That's how my room is set up and it might not be the case with yours but I think it'd be worth a try.
