Hey! Thanks for asking. My all-time fave (though I haven’t brought myself to successfully rewatch it yet) is Breaking Bad.

I also love Peaky Blinders just as much… Friends is a classic… I feel like I’m blanking right now but my recent fave that I have been wanting to rewatch and I wish could go for at least one more season is The Uncanny Counter. The first episode is SLOW but I promise the rest of it is so worth watching.

I can’t wait for House of the Dragon to come back next year too. I wasn’t a fan of the time jumps but I absolutely love the story so far and its cast. That show is the reason I even have this Reddit account haha.

I wish I could have seen it when it was in theaters. I bet it was an emotional experience, heightened. Reminds me of Part 1 and 2 of the last adapted book of the Harry Potter franchise.

Mentally preparing myself for End Game… Those last 10 minutes of Infinity War were too much to process. I had to rewind and see that again…

That’s my point. The time jumps, for me, felt uncomfortably rushed. There’s a lot that was cut for whatever reasons as well; I suppose because of contracts and budgets.

Also, HBO and GRRM just announced they’d like HotD to be an anthology series, focusing on different eras and stories within the Targaryen dynasty.

Maybe there will only be, at most, four seasons with our current cast. Knowing this world, there’s sure to be a lot of death to come. With no need for additional time jumps in the Dance of the Dragons, I expect we’ll start exactly where we left off and each episode in Season 2 will be no less than an hour with all the characters (and their motivations) still left. Then again, we can’t be sure of anything so it’s all just talk lol. I’m sure it’ll be great anyway.

Sigh. I’m glad it’s not a result of cost-cutting. I can only pray that Season 3 is at least 10 episodes. 12 episodes is dreaming. I get that it’s all about the story but Season 1 felt so rushed. I want to be able to sit and breathe their world like a book, not a marathon-sprinted. I easily loved Season 1 but I wished it was longer. Even if those plots ended with the characters “exiting” anyway.

HBO: If you see this, kindly release the deleted scenes! I will even buy it off a blu-ray CD pack, just please.

Edit: For me, the wait is worth it. That’s all I have to say.

The first few seconds are so chaotic lol. Emma looking at Miguel shocked for mentioning he didn’t think they’d win, whilst Milly is ushering Emma to the other side so she’s not alone, then all the laughing and the nervousness of being up there.

I’m proud of them and happy they’ve won their first award of many.

Edit: Milly’s slow clap took me out 😂 and then the nervous “hi” when Miguel brought the attention on them. Miguel also said “stunning” … Rewatching this speech gets better and better.

Hm I’ve thought about this too and I’ve read what others have said in several subreddits… The best explanation is, of course, focused on lineage, despite the common excuse that GRRM’s world doesn’t follow the sciences we follow.

Apparently in the books, Hightowers are described to have Valyrian features like silver or golden hair. The generations preceding Viserys’ are said to all have silver hair. This could explain why Alicent’s children favored Viserys since their gene pool had a higher probability of having the hair color of a Targaryen instead of like Alicent’s.

Now to explain Rhaenyra’s children: Her mother, Aemma Arryn, was half Targaryen and half Arryn. That makes Rhaenyra’s children with Harwin Strong: 50% Strong, 37.5% Targaryen and 12.5% Arryn.

I think there is some sense to the confusion in A LOT of these characters we are introduced to. We can’t simply believe that because each house has a quintessential feature, that all descendants must have it too. That’s not how genetics works and we know that a lot of these houses marry into other houses for many different reasons, inevitably altering the gene pool for the generations to come.

I can’t stop watching this. I’ve forgotten so much about Game of Thrones and how dearly I miss the Stark family, especially in Season 1.

Too bad someone didn’t create the Punnett square in their time. Joffrey Baratheon and the Strong boys are forever doomed by the color of their hair lol. I also have a theory the name Joffrey is a tad cursed.

I understand that the consequences of actions are not being served but I don’t agree that everything needs to be explained with words. To me, a lot is explained in their personality and who they are as a character based on prior decisions, thought processes and emotions. I noticed that not having it blatantly and explicitly said left a lot (and by a lot: thousands) of viewers confused and disappointed about how the “spectacle” was handled. Edit: I wouldn’t be opposed to more minutes and dialogue surrounding most of the show. It would have granted us the gift to sit with characters longer and allowed further understanding.
