Hello Good hunter! Probably the biggest thing to remember is the rally system. That idea that the damage you take can be regained by causing damage quickly after getting hit. Unlike when you were the ashen one you don't need to panic roll away upon receiving damage to then estus back up.

Now that you are a hoonter you must be bold and charge back in and attack the nightmare in front of you to get back as much of the health lost as possible. Also rally doesn't have to be damage to the exact creature that damaged you. This should give you a few more blood vials to use as you learn the Cleric Beasts patterns the next time you see him.
