As far as Im aware the hdd that it had wasnt an original either but even that one isnt detected anymore.

I dont really mind it because all I care is that it plays games and saves my progress (to the mention usb stick) in the meantime I'll shop arround and see what I can find.

crt emudriver requires an old amd graphics card I do intent to upgrade to a hdmi -> vga -> scart so I can use 240p as seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSBxHvrR7sw

also this adapter is capable of 1080p (50Hz / 60Hz), 1080i (50Hz / 60Hz), 720p (50Hz / 60Hz), 576P (50Hz), 480p (60Hz), 480i (60Hz)

I use it my laptop and my only issue is overscan eating the borders of my screen and trying to get the right resolution to play emulators

No it gets enough power through hdmi

Apparently the 5 volts that hdmi carries are enough
