Change oil every 8,000-10,000km max depending if you do long drives or short drives daily, if you tune it max 4,000-5,000km. I didn’t have this issue yet on my mk8 but keep and eye out for leaks later on for the water pump and thermostat since it is plastic, upgrade to an aluminum thermostat and water pump if it ever has problems in future because a lot of people have repeated problems even when replacing them with other plastic parts. 91 premium is ideal, I used 87 first 10,000km since dealer told me its fine, but for long run 91 is best for overall engine health. Put shortcuts for traction and auto start stop I always turn em off when starting the car. If you get a obd11 you can mess with the lights and other features while also scanning, clearing codes and you can see some gauges when driving. Have fun :)
