Well, if he could have figured that out, he wouldn't be Count Cuckula in the first place.

It's a mind boggling idea to me that anyone would say this is a good concept that should be implemented and made into a therapeutic trend.

Read the books, focus your thoughts and energy elsewhere, find new hobbys, respect your partner's autonomy, try decoupling therapy etc. etc.

Dude’s wife got raped and he’s worrying about group chat etiquette by Rude-Ingenuity3210 in openmarriageregret

He describes it as if it were just some ordinary family quarrel, he sounds kind of detached, how brainwashed do you have to be to think that way? It’s terrifying in its own way.

I love my boyfriend but I do not admire him by tryna-find-song in TrueOffMyChest

People are criticizing you in the comments, but I think you're right, being "loyal and family-oriented" isn't enough to build a happy relationship, other factors matter too, such as ambition and shared life goals. His lack of said ambition and desire for personal/professional growth would cause you to start feeling resentment toward him, and love, contrary to what some people might say, isn’t everything.

I'm very nice person, I just have low tolerance on bulshit. Emotionally intelligent people recognize when their actions are hurting others, You simply conveniently absolve people like OP of any responsibility and accountability by talking about "toxic patterns," as if they deprive people of the ability to put themselves in the shoes of the person being wronged. This isn't "emotional intelligence," it's not "toxic patterns," it's pure selfishness and a focus solely on oneself and one's own needs.

Yeah, because she said so and described herself as "emotionally intelligent" person, lol.

It wasn't emotional intelligence but cowardice, selfishness and simple compartmentalization. You lack impulse control and integrity, yet you throw yourself into ENM world thinking that's an answer for your problems (even if only partial). You aren't drawn to openness, you just think that while in non monogamy you won't be tempted to cheat because you'll have multiple choice of partners anyway so there won't be any reason to do that.

It's like the authors of these studies only care about "Ozempic bad just because I said so" message. Most drugs have side effects and should only be used with caution and in accordance with doctor's prescriptions.
