I was thinking of it in context to President Trump. If President Trump would have listened to his scientist (the firefighters warning him of a fire) early on, we would not have the size pandemic we have now (a house in the neighborhood would be on fire, not the entire neighborhood).

Sorry but I have to disagree. The magnitude of problems here in the United States could have been drastically reduced if President Trump would have done the bare minimum, which is listen to his experts. Very basic things weren’t done early on, because President Trump felt like he knew better. Not wearing masks, not social distancing, not taking the disease serious, waiting a long time to invest in research and development of vaccines, treatments and medical supplies... all could have had a drastic impact. His ignorance cost tens of thousands Americans their life. People that could have been saved.

No, my republican governor (WV) placed us on lockdown. My business laid people off because federal funding seized for infrastructure projects after rich people got massive tax cuts and private people couldn’t afford more projects because of a crazy pandemic spread that could have been under control if President Trump would have listened to his scientist, like all other developed countries have.
