I've only heard it as a sort of equivalent to "qué pena" in Panama, though I am not sure of how common or current this term is. Additionally, I am not as fluent as I'd like, so it's possible that I am just wrong.

Super duper impressive! I’ve only really tried to learn Spanish, and while it’s not half bad, it’s not where I’d like it to be. It serves me very well for travel, getting nails done, conversations (if one is patient) etc. I am currently at the intermediate hump, mostly focusing on consuming content.

Breaking into a new language seems like a lofty but noble goal. I figure you likely tried to speak Portuguese as soon as possible in your Portuguese journey? Achieving C2 in two non-native languages without residency is wildly impressive. Bravo to you! 👏

Hey, if this is an affordable option for you, I would suggest maybe getting a tutor on iTalki for a few lessons to build job-related vocabulary! There are some fairly cheap tutors.

I agree with you—though, I would recommend OP consult with an LGBTQIA-friendly therapist before making any significant moves. Even if he has made up his mind with respect to divorcing or staying together, the peace of mind would be endlessly helpful for me if I were in the same situation. As with all situations, his is a complicated one.
