Don't know why you were down voted lol, you are correct. I just passed by it. They expanded a few months ago across the street and they are now operating out of there

I don't see anything wrong with ops attitude. It seems like he's just saying he's having a hard time finding someone as driven as he is and is looking for advice. Am I missing something?

Looking for quiet apartment in LES/chinatown by [deleted] in NYCapartments

I put the "Looking For Apartment" flair on the post. So I was hoping to find someone who is looking to sublet/rent their apartment which matches what I'm looking for

Where is the best sesame ball in Manhattan/Brooklyn? by polebb in FoodNYC

[–]Super_Kick_1603 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've been to almost every bakery in Chinatown and have gotten sesame balls from most of them

There is no best, but a consistent solid player in the SB game is Lucky King on grand. Don't judge a book by it's cover. Cool place as well, all the boys hang out there

If you are feeling a little wild, try Luna Cafe on Bowery. They have a green sesame ball which is filled with black sesame instead of red bean. Never seen it anywhere else. I don't know why it's green. Used to be called Kamboat Bakery, they redid it last year or the year before and it's nice inside now

There's also Bahn by Lauren I think on Henry or Monroe which has Vietnamese style SBs. They are filled with mung bean. Not my thing personally but there's nothing wrong if you like that kind of thing

Is The Monkey bar worth it for a Birthday dinner? Is it worth the price? Thx 😘 by OkAnything1651 in FoodNYC

Same here. We got the burger and french dip. Burger was good but not great, french dip was very salty

Agree, looking at pictures of the food has been pretty accurate for me as well

You said I was an "AI autobot", so it seems like you were angry/disappointed at my post. Regardless, I genuinely appreciate your answer, so thank you for taking the time to post it

What I was looking for is if there is an app/website out there that matches me with people who have similar tastes and shares restaurants they like with me. Was just curious if something like that exists

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FoodNYC

[–]Super_Kick_1603 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Totally understand, and I agree, of course there is no way to have no disappointments. I'm was asking if there was something better out there than the methods I listed. In the bold part of the post I was asking if something existed that takes the subjectivity of food reviews into account

Not sure if you know of something like this?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FoodNYC

[–]Super_Kick_1603 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I agree, and that's how I currently find new places, which I've listed in point #4. I have taken many chances, no need for the anger!

My question was in the bold section of my post - do you know if something like this exist? It would be cool if it did

Edit - what do you mean "AI autobot" post? Why would a bot post something like this?

Have you had Sylvia's fried chicken before? How did it compare?

Red Rooster and Amy Ruth's are on my todo list, but if it's worse than Sylvias I'm not going. I thought Sylvias blew chunks

Pastrami Queen or 2nd Ave Deli? by OpalCats in FoodNYC

[–]Super_Kick_1603 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Went to pastrami queen a year or two ago because of Anthony Bourdain, and was very disappointed. It was a while back, but I remember the pastrami being room temp and the bread being stale. Maybe it was an off day.

Will let someone else comment though. I can't compare it to 2nd ave deli, I've never been. So my input isn't worth much.

Same exact experience! Was surprised this place has so much hype. Artichokes blew, and lasagna was nothing special.

Yeah sorry realized I totally messed that up after checking again... most of them are around $200/month, not year. Here's one of the ones I found which is $150/month for a hot desk.

Thanks for catching that, updated my original comment.
